Pornstar Ranked

Twitter Pornstars, Ranked by Verified X Presence

X updated its Adult content policy in June 2024 to state explicitly that "consensually produced and distributed" adult content is permitted, provided it is appropriately labelled — a formal, written permission no other major mainstream platform in this programme’s research extends to this industry.

Instagram, covered on a separate page, bans the same content outright. That single policy difference is why this page exists as a distinct article rather than a "social media pornstars" list with the platform swapped: X is the one place where a performer’s account and her actual work are not structurally at odds, which changes what a ranking of platform presence should even measure.

The short answer

Cherie DeVille ranks first among Twitter/X pornstars on our index. She holds the strongest MILF-category award record in the industry — five AVN MILF Performer of the Year titles between 2018 and 2025 plus the 2023 XBIZ overall Performer of the Year award — and is one of the few performers on this list with documented public advocacy specifically on age-verification policy, conducted from the one mainstream platform that does not ban the work she is defending. Brandi Love ranks second and Stormy Daniels ranks third.

The ranking

The 19 performers with a verified X presence

Every name below already carried a verified, authoritatively sourced X link in our performer dataset — the performer’s own site, a Wikipedia external-links section, a Wikidata property or a Linktree she publishes, never a guessed handle built from a name. Unlike Instagram, X permits the adult content this industry produces, under a policy formalised in June 2024 — so what is ranked here is not a workaround or a funnel account, but a platform performers can and do use directly: for promotion, for subscriber contact, for industry advocacy, and in at least one documented case, to warn other performers about a colleague.

Why Cherie ranks 1st

DeVille is this page's most direct answer to its own age-verification section. Her documented record includes public advocacy specifically on First Amendment and age-verification policy, alongside bylined journalism for Rolling Stone and The Daily Beast and an appearance in Netflix's 2023 documentary Money Shot: The Pornhub Story — a media profile most performers on this list do not have.

That advocacy sits on top of the strongest MILF-category award record in the industry: five AVN MILF Performer of the Year titles between 2018 and 2025 — the record that also ranks her among the MILF pornstars we rank — the XBIZ overall Performer of the Year award in 2023, and an Urban X Hall of Fame induction in 2024.

She holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and has said she still works part-time in the field — a detail that underlines her public commentary is a chosen second career, not her only credential.

The case against: Her age-verification advocacy is documented as a general public-record fact rather than tied to a specific, dated X post or campaign this page can point to directly.

Career

DeVille holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and practised as a licensed clinician before entering the industry in 2011 at 32; she has said she still works part-time in physical therapy. She became the most-awarded performer of her generation in this category, winning AVN MILF Performer of the Year five times between 2018 and 2025 and taking the overall XBIZ Performer of the Year award in 2023. She writes for Rolling Stone and The Daily Beast and appeared in the 2023 Netflix documentary Money Shot.

Signature: Dramatic range. DeVille is the reliable lead for the psychological, story-driven features that studios like Pure Taboo built their reputations on.

Why Brandi ranks 2nd

Love built her career around a self-owned content business — Naked Rhino Media, co-founded with her husband in 2006 — rather than studio contracts, and has been publicly active as a political commentator for years, the kind of speech Instagram's content rules make structurally difficult for an adult performer to sustain and X does not.

That public profile crossed into mainstream news in 2021, when an incident in which she was asked to leave a political conference drew national press coverage — an example, distinct from anyone else on this list, of a performer's public platform voice generating coverage entirely outside the adult-industry trade press.

Hall of Fame inductions from XRCO (2019) and AVN (2020), plus a 2018 XBIZ MILF Performer of the Year title, anchor the underlying career, which also leads the best Pornhub pornstars list.

The case against: The specific political conference and the content of her commentary are not detailed in the sourcing behind this record, only that the incident drew national coverage.

Love entered the industry in the mid-2000s and built her career around a self-owned content business rather than studio contracts. With her husband she co-founded Naked Rhino Media in 2006, and she published a relationship advice book in 2008. She was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame in 2019 and the AVN Hall of Fame in 2020. Why Stormy ranks 3rd

Daniels is the highest-profile mainstream public figure on this list by a wide margin, and her platform presence functions as political and legal commentary as much as career promotion — the specific use case Instagram's content rules make structurally harder to sustain and X's speech-permissive policy does not.

Her account of a 2006 encounter with Donald Trump and a related 2016 hush-money payment became a major national story in 2018, culminating in Trump's May 2024 conviction on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, a case in which her testimony played a documented role.

That sits on top of a substantial industry record — Hall of Fame inductions from AVN, XRCO and NightMoves, an AVN Mainstream Star of the Year title in 2019 — and mainstream cameos in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Saturday Night Live — the profile that also puts her first on our TikTok pornstars list.

The case against: Her platform relevance here rests on political and legal notoriety rather than a documented X-specific following figure or industry-platform incident.

Why Tristan ranks 4th

Taormino's presence on this list rests on a documented public-intellectual career built the same way an effective X presence works: personal voice, sustained over decades, in mainstream and trade outlets at once.

She wrote the Village Voice's "Pucker Up" sex column opposite Dan Savage from 1999 to 2008, appeared regularly on HBO's Real Sex and The Howard Stern Show, and created Vivid's Chemistry series — an unscripted format letting performers choose their own scene partners — which won an AVN Best Gonzo Release and a Feminist Porn Award for the same film in the same year — the record that puts her first on the female pornstars index.

She has authored eight books on sexuality and is a public advocate for polyamory and non-monogamy. That combination of mainstream media literacy and industry credibility is exactly the skill set an effective public account in this category depends on.

The case against: Her Recognition record is genuine but this page weights it down deliberately, and no specific X-following figure or platform incident was independently documented for this entry.

Career

A Wesleyan University graduate who wrote the Village Voice sex column "Pucker Up" opposite Dan Savage from 1999 to 2008, Taormino moved into directing with a video adaptation of her own book The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women in 1999, then created the Chemistry series for Vivid Entertainment from 2006 — an explicitly unscripted format in which performers chose who they had sex with, and where, without a director dictating the scene. The format won Chemistry both an AVN Best Gonzo Release and a Feminist Porn Award in the same year, plus Adam Film World’s Best Couples Movie. She went on to create Vivid Ed, Vivid’s sex-education imprint, winning three consecutive AVN Best Educational Release awards, and has authored eight books on sexuality alongside a decade editing the annual Best Lesbian Erotica anthology. She identifies as queer and has been a visible advocate for polyamory and non-monogamy.

Signature: The clearest bridge on this list between the couples-market feature and the feminist-porn movement: Chemistry won a mainstream AVN category and a Feminist Porn Award in the same year for the same film.

Why Alana ranks 5th

Evans is ranked here for a reason distinct from a following count: she leads the Adult Performers Actors Guild, described as the industry's federally recognised performer union, a role she has held since February 2018 after joining as vice-president earlier.

APAG is the organisation behind the November 2019 complaint, documented on the sibling Instagram pornstars page, that more than 1,300 performers had their Instagram accounts removed without a stated violation — the exact platform-governance fight that makes X's comparatively permissive policy commercially and politically significant to this industry.

Her own record — Hall of Fame inductions from AVN, XRCO and the Urban X Awards, two co-founded production companies, a High Times column — is real, but the reason she ranks on this specific page is that her public advocacy runs through the one platform whose policy actually permits the work she is advocating for.

The case against: Her Hall of Fame record and production-company credits are Recognition and Body of Work achievements this page deliberately weights down; the platform-specific case for her placement rests on her advocacy role rather than a documented following figure.

Evans entered the industry in the early 2000s and became vice-president, then in February 2018 president, of the Adult Performers Actors Guild (APAG), described as a federally recognised union representing performers. She co-founded two production companies, CreamWorks Films (2006) and Royalty X Films (2008), and holds Hall of Fame inductions from AVN, XRCO and the Urban X Awards. Beyond performing she has written a cannabis-culture column for High Times and co-launched a gaming site aimed at adult performers.

Why Stoya ranks 6th

Stoya's record includes the same media pivot several other entries here share — a Slate advice column since 2019, bylines in The New York Times, The Guardian, Vice and Esquire, an essay collection, a Best Actress win at FEST Beograd, the media crossover that also places her on the Hollywood porn stars list — but she is ranked here specifically for a different, and earlier, use of the platform.

In November 2015, she used her personal account to publish an allegation against a fellow performer; several other performers came forward with related accounts in the days that followed. The allegation was denied, and no criminal charges were filed.

It is nonetheless widely cited, including in mainstream press coverage of the industry, as one of the earliest instances of the platform functioning as a channel for performers to warn each other about a colleague — roughly two years before #MeToo entered the mainstream vocabulary.

The case against: The allegation at the centre of this entry was denied and never tested in a criminal proceeding, and this page states that directly rather than implying a resolution neither side reached.

Stoya signed an exclusive three-year contract with Digital Playground in October 2007, reportedly the company’s first alt-porn contract performer, and swept the 2009 new-starlet awards at AVN, XBIZ and XRCO. Since 2019 she has co-written the How to Do It advice column for Slate, and has contributed to The New York Times, Vice, The Guardian and Esquire. Why Holly ranks 7th

Randall works as photographer, director, producer, publisher and podcast host rather than as an on-camera performer, and her platform presence is inseparable from a media career built specifically on public commentary.

Her weekly interview podcast, Holly Randall Unfiltered, launched in 2017 and has carried her into mainstream appearances on The Rachel Maddow Show, The Daily Show and CNN, plus Netflix's Hot Girls Wanted: Turned On.

AVN inducted her into its Hall of Fame in 2024, and she founded a production company, a talent agency and a magazine in three different launch years — the business record that also places her on the richest pornstars index.

Three separate 2025 awards, from AVN and XBIZ, for a single production round out an industry record built by someone whose actual job is running a public conversation — the clearest possible use case for a platform built around exactly that.

Holly Randall works as a photographer, director, producer, publisher and podcast host rather than as an on-camera performer. She founded Holly Randall Productions in 2008, co-founded the Holly Randall Agency with Jeffrey Hart and Andrew Nagle in January 2026, and launched Wet Ink Magazine the same year. Her weekly interview podcast, Holly Randall Unfiltered, launched in 2017 and features performers, directors, educators and sex-positive public figures; it has carried her into mainstream media appearances on The Rachel Maddow Show, The Daily Show and CNN, as well as Netflix’s Hot Girls Wanted: Turned On and Vice TV documentaries. AVN inducted her into its Hall of Fame in 2024 and named her among its Most Influential Women in the industry in 2013; she won three separate 2025 awards — AVN Best Featurette, AVN Best Screenplay for a Featurette, and XBIZ Featurette of the Year — for a single production.

Signature: Founded three separate companies in three different launch years — a production house, a talent agency and a magazine — while also hosting a podcast that has put her on The Daily Show and CNN.

Why Tanya ranks 8th

Tate, born in Liverpool — she leads the British pornstars list — holds one of the deepest MILF-category award records of anyone in this dataset, with wins across four separate bodies between 2010 and 2017 recognised together by an XRCO Hall of Fame induction in 2023.

She has also worked as a director and non-fiction writer, hosted a Sirius XM radio show through Vivid Radio, and built a second public profile on the international cosplay convention circuit since her 2010 San Diego Comic-Con debut, with a licensed comic-book tie-in and action figure of her cosplay character.

As a British performer, her verified account also sits inside the jurisdictional pressure this page's industry section describes: the UK's Online Safety Act age-assurance duties for pornographic content, enforced from July 2025, apply to the audience she reaches regardless of where the platform itself is based.

The case against: No specific statement from Tate about the Online Safety Act or X's own policy changes is independently documented; her inclusion in that discussion is contextual rather than a quoted position.

Career

Born in Liverpool, Tanya Tate began performing in 2009 and built the deepest MILF-category award record of any performer in this category, with wins across NightMoves, SHAFTA, XBIZ and the Fanny Awards between 2010 and 2017, before an XRCO Hall of Fame induction in 2023 recognised the whole span. She has also worked as a director and non-fiction writer, and built a second public profile as an international cosplayer appearing at San Diego Comic-Con from 2010, with a comic-book collaboration and licensed action figures of her cosplay character.

Signature: An XRCO Hall of Fame induction in 2023 built on top of one of the widest niche-category award spreads in British adult film — five separate bodies, seven years, one recurring category.

Why Riley ranks 9th

Steele is the one name on this list whose platform credential needs no interpretation: at the 29th AVN Awards in January 2012, the fan vote handed her a category called Twitter Queen outright, alongside three other fan awards the same night.

That a major award body ran a category with that exact name is itself evidence for this page's argument — a Twitter/X presence became a competed-for credential inside the industry rather than an incidental follower count.

The award sits on a career that had already crossed into mainstream media: a Digital Playground contract at nineteen, a credited role in the wide-release Piranha 3D at twenty-two, ten episodes of Cinemax's Life on Top, and a 2025 AVN Hall of Fame induction to close the record — one that also places her on the 2000s pornstar ranking.

The case against: The award itself is fourteen years old, from 2012, and nothing in the public record documents her current account size, activity level, or whether the same following persists in 2026.

English Wikipedia records that Joone, the founder of Digital Playground, signed Steele to an exclusive contract on 29 February 2008, and states plainly that she was nineteen at the time — one of very few debut ages in this whole category that a reliable source gives outright rather than leaving to arithmetic. Two years later she had a credited role in the wide-release feature Piranha 3D, and in 2011 she was a series regular for ten episodes of the Cinemax drama Life on Top, with further television work through 2012. AVN gave her its Crossover Star of the Year title at the 28th ceremony in January 2011 and inducted her into its Hall of Fame in 2025.

Signature: The clearest case on this page of an achievement that was both early and outward-facing: a studio contract at nineteen converted into mainstream screen credits by twenty-two, which almost nobody in this category manages at any age.

Why Kayden ranks 10th

Kross represents the business-and-commentary wing of this list. A Penthouse Pet of the Month in September 2008 — the print credit the nude pornstar record scores — who built a competitive award record before shifting to directing and producing, she co-founded Deeper, a Vixen Media Group label, in 2019, and writes an ongoing column for Complex and XBIZ — one of the few performers in this category with a standing byline in a mainstream outlet.

AVN inducted her into its Hall of Fame in 2019 and XRCO followed in 2022. Trade press has credited her with multiple Director of the Year wins and nominations between 2015 and 2025, though the exact tally varies by source and is not scored here.

Running a studio label while writing publicly about the industry is a use of a public platform this page treats as distinct from, and additional to, a performing career alone.

The case against: The precise count of her later Director of the Year wins varies by source and is not scored; her platform-specific following or activity was not independently documented beyond the verified handle.

Kross was a Penthouse cover model and its Pet of the Month for September 2008, and built a competitive award record through the early 2010s before shifting almost entirely to directing and producing. AVN inducted her into its Hall of Fame in 2019 and XRCO followed in 2022. She co-founded Deeper, a Vixen Media Group label, in 2019, and has written columns for Complex and XBIZ, one of the few performers in this field with an ongoing byline in a mainstream outlet. Trade press has credited her with multiple Director of the Year wins and nominations from XBIZ, AVN and NightMoves between 2015 and 2025, though the exact tally varies by source and is not scored here.

Signature: The Penthouse cover credit and the September 2008 Pet of the Month title both predate her move into directing by roughly a decade, giving her one of the more complete performer-to-director arcs on this list.

Why Small ranks 11th

Small Hands is the only male performer on this page, and his award record is the most complete top-title sweep anyone here holds regardless of gender: Male Performer of the Year from AVN (twice), XBIZ and XRCO, a set almost nobody in the category completes.

He entered the industry in 2013 through Burning Angel, the alt-porn studio run by Joanna Angel, whom he married in 2016 — the couple are on our married pornstars list — and who gave him his stage name — pairing him from early on with one of the platform's more established alt-porn voices rather than leaving his own account to build an audience from nothing.

Outside the industry he is a musician, signing his project Empty Streets to Cleopatra Records in 2021, a second public-facing career this page's Influence pillar is built to register.

The case against: No specific X-following figure, verification history or platform incident was independently documented for this entry; there is no dedicated English Wikipedia article for him.

Aaron Thompson entered the industry in 2013 through a scene for Burning Angel, the alt-porn studio run by Joanna Angel, whom he married in 2016 and who gave him his stage name. He built his career largely within alt-porn and became a two-time AVN Male Performer of the Year, having already taken the XBIZ and XRCO equivalents — making him one of the very few to hold the top honour from all three American bodies. Outside the industry he is a musician, signing his project Empty Streets to Cleopatra Records in 2021.

Why Aubrey ranks 12th

Kate holds the most annual Performer of the Year titles of anyone on this list — four AVN Transgender Performer of the Year wins, the most in that category's history and the run that also puts her first on the 2025 pornstars ranking — alongside a platform-published rather than critically judged title: Pornhub named her its Most Popular Trans Female Performer in 2022.

Her own biography places a following in the hundreds of thousands on YouTube and a six-figure following on X, as of this dataset's most recent audit in August 2026, self-reported and not independently audited figures the record flags directly rather than treating as settled fact.

She operates her own official site and maintains independent OnlyFans and YouTube channels alongside studio work, rather than working through a single exclusive contract — a business structure this page's Influence pillar is built to reward.

The case against: Her follower and view figures are self-reported by the platforms themselves rather than independently audited, and her birth date and birthplace were removed from this record after an audit found the only sourcing for both was an uncredited Wikidata import.

Aubrey Kate has won AVN’s Transgender Performer of the Year four times — 2017, 2018, 2021 and 2026 — the most of any performer in that category’s history, alongside category wins for Best Trans One-on-One Sex Scene (2018, 2020) and Best Transgender Group Sex Scene (2019). In 2022 Pornhub itself named her its Most Popular Trans Female Performer, a platform-published rather than critically-judged title, and her own reported viewer numbers on YouTube run into the hundreds of thousands alongside a six-figure Twitter/X following. She operates her own official site, officialaubreykate.com, and maintains independent OnlyFans and YouTube channels alongside studio work rather than working through a single exclusive contract.

Checking the import chain, Spanish and French Wikipedia both give the same Las Vegas/1992 figures but cite only the Internet Adult Film Database, an excluded source. Why Belladonna ranks 13th

Belladonna's inclusion follows this page's baseline standard rather than a single dramatic account history: a verified, authoritatively sourced X handle attached to a performing-and-directing career that is unusually complete for the category.

She won AVN's Hall of Fame in 2011 and XRCO's in 2013, retired from on-camera work in July 2012, and built a substantial directing and producing catalogue of her own titles at Evil Angel — the work that ranks her on the gonzo-and-hardcore pornstars ranking — before moving into mainstream acting, including Paul Thomas Anderson's Inherent Vice.

A widely repeated claim that she won AVN Female Performer of the Year in 2009 does not hold up against that ceremony's own record — the title went to Jenna Haze — and is corrected to the nomination it actually was rather than repeated here.

The case against: No specific X-following figure, verification history or platform incident was independently documented for this entry; the placement rests on the verified handle and the underlying career record alone.

Michelle Sinclair was born into a large Mormon family in Salt Lake City and began performing in Los Angeles in 1999 at eighteen. She built a dual career as an award-winning performer and as director-producer of her own titles, culminating in the 2009 AVN Female Performer of the Year award. She retired from on-camera work in July 2012, stating she was no longer interested in performing, and pursued mainstream acting including Paul Thomas Anderson’s Inherent Vice.

Why Romi ranks 14th

Rain holds the single strongest competitive credential of anyone ranked on this page: XBIZ Female Performer of the Year, the ceremony's top annual title, won in 2018 — the title that also puts her first on our Brazzers pornstars list — and backed by four separate scene wins across 2016, 2019 and 2024 — a six-year span of sustained competitive recognition unusual for the category.

That record sits alongside a large, specifically quantified platform following: her own biography places it at more than 933,000 on X and 74,900 on YouTube, as of this dataset's most recent audit in August 2026.

Few names on this list combine a top-tier annual award with a numbered following rather than an inferred one, and the pairing is exactly what this page's re-weighted Demand pillar is built to reward — competitive recognition plus a measurable audience, not one standing in for the other.

The case against: No English Wikipedia biography exists for her — it was deleted after 2019 — and a widely circulated 2015 XRCO Award credit could not be confirmed against that body's own winners record, so it is not scored here.

Rain debuted in 2012 and built a decade-plus career anchored by the single strongest competitive award any performer in this roster holds: XBIZ Female Performer of the Year, the ceremony’s top annual title, in 2018. That sits alongside two further XBIZ scene wins in 2016 and 2019 and a fourth in 2024, a six-year span of competitive recognition that is unusually sustained for the category. She maintains an active, large social-media following (933,000+ on Twitter/X, 74,900 YouTube subscribers) alongside her studio work.

Why Lorelei ranks 15th

Lee's inclusion on this page rests on the same logic as Alana Evans's: a documented public advocacy record for performer labour rights, conducted from a verified account on the one mainstream platform where that advocacy is not itself a policy violation.

She performed and directed at Kink.com through the 2000s, co-wrote the 2012 Berlin Film Festival feature About Cherry, then left performing to complete an MFA at NYU and a JD at Cornell Law School, becoming a Justice Catalyst Fellow at Cornell's Gender Justice Clinic — an institutional role independently confirmed by the law school itself, not just by her own account.

The Free Speech Coalition named her Woman of the Year in 2015. Her arc from performer to sex-work labour lawyer is the most complete professionalisation story on this list — and the reason she is also ranked among the former porn stars this site ranks — and the public commentary that follows from it depends on a platform that allows her to make it.

The case against: She retired from performing around 2012, and her platform activity is inferred from her public advocacy role rather than from a documented following figure or account-specific incident.

Lee debuted around age 19 and built her career as a performer and director at San Francisco’s Kink.com, working in fetish and bondage production entirely outside the Los Angeles Valley system. She co-wrote the 2012 Berlin Film Festival feature About Cherry, was ranked eighth on Hustler’s 2011 "Top 10 Smartest Porn Stars," and after leaving performing completed an MFA at NYU and a JD at Cornell Law School (2020, magna cum laude), becoming a Justice Catalyst Fellow at Cornell’s Gender Justice Clinic. The Free Speech Coalition named her Woman of the Year in 2015.

Signature: Took a Kink.com career built entirely outside the Valley studio system and converted it directly into a legal career representing sex workers — the clearest professionalisation arc in this list.

Why Sweetie ranks 16th

Fox built her entire career on the creator-platform model this page's industry section describes as X's actual function for performers who use it: a compliant, promotional account driving traffic toward a personal subscription business.

She reached the top of Pornhub's model rankings by January 2024 — the rise that also places her on the viral porn stars page — working almost entirely inside a single content niche, cosplay, and has won cosplay-specific awards from both Pornhub and AVN.

Unlike a studio-contracted performer, she has no traditional filmography to fall back on if a platform account is lost — the account itself, and the audience it carries, is the business, which makes her a cleaner test case for this page's funnel argument than performers who also have a substantial studio-side career to point to.

The case against: No specific X-following figure or platform-history incident is independently documented for her beyond the verified handle and her general reliance on a personal subscription site.

Sweetie Fox built her career around cosplay-themed content and reached the top of Pornhub’s model rankings by January 2024, following the creator-platform model rather than traditional studio contracting. She has won cosplay-specific awards from both Pornhub and AVN, and was named among Maxim’s top Russian adult performers in 2023.

Signature: A career built inside a single production niche — cosplay — which normally caps a performer, and which she used instead to reach number one on the largest platform in the world.

Why Ela ranks 17th

Darling represents the technology-and-advocacy wing of this list. A former reference librarian, she entered the industry in 2009 and became founding secretary of the Adult Performer Advocacy Committee in February 2014 — the governance role that also places her on the American pornstars page — formed specifically to fill the gap left when the Adult Industry Medical Health Care Foundation closed in 2011 — an organisational role, not a following count, and one that put her at the centre of the industry's own attempt to build the kind of formal advocacy structure the platform-governance fights elsewhere on this page eventually required.

She co-founded the VR studio VRTube.xxx the same year, recording an early stereoscopic VR scene that drew New York Times coverage, and XBIZ named her Crossover Star of the Year in 2018. The Free Speech Coalition gave her its Positive Image Award in 2016.

The case against: As with the other advocacy-focused entries on this page, no specific X-related incident, following figure or verification-badge history was independently documented for her beyond the verified handle itself.

Why Natalie ranks 18th

Mars is the clearest reversal-of-order case on this list. She was discovered on Twitter — where she had been posting during her transition — and did not shoot her first scene until 2015, at thirty-one, later than almost anyone else in the category.

The platform was not a promotional add-on to an existing career; it was how the career started. Five years later she took every trans title either major body handed out: AVN Transsexual Performer of the Year, both AVN fan-voted trans categories, and XBIZ Transgender Performer of the Year, a clean sweep matched by no one else in the category that year, and the record that also ranks her on the trans pornstars list.

Her showcase release for Adult Time’s Transfixed line won the matching AVN and XBIZ production awards. Platform first, credits after, is the exception here, and the standard the rest of this list is measured against.

The case against: The 2020 sweep is five years old, and no dedicated English Wikipedia article exists for her; this record rests on Wikidata, Spanish Wikipedia and the ceremony pages themselves.

She worked at volume across the trans-category studios and in January 2020 took both top annual titles, AVN Transsexual Performer of the Year and XBIZ Transgender Performer of the Year, plus both AVN fan-voted trans awards at the same ceremony, a clean sweep of everything on offer that year. Her showcase release for Adult Time’s Transfixed line won the AVN and XBIZ production awards to match.

Why Hitomi ranks 19th

Tanaka built one of the largest Western followings of any Japanese pornstar in the AV system without ever relocating to, or filming for, the US industry directly — an AVN Fan Award in 2016 and a Pornhub Award in 2020 both recognise an audience formed almost entirely through cross-border platform reach rather than domestic studio distribution.

When she chose to end her career, she did it on the platform that had built that audience: she announced her retirement via Twitter on 28 February 2022, with a final release that April, rather than through a press release or a studio statement.

That sequencing — the account as the venue for the single most consequential announcement a performer makes about her own career — is a distinct use case from almost everyone else ranked here, most of whom use the platform to promote ongoing work rather than to close a chapter of it.

The case against: Her Western following formed through cross-border reach rather than a documented, quantified X-specific follower count, and no English Wikipedia article independently confirms detail beyond the retirement date itself.

What counts as a Twitter/X pornstar, now that the platform actually allows it

Until June 2024, X’s adult-content rules were tolerated rather than written down — a legacy of Twitter’s comparatively loose, opt-in "Sensitive Media" approach to graphic content going back years before the platform changed ownership. In June 2024, X’s Adult content policy was updated to state directly that "consensually produced and distributed" adult content is permitted, provided it is appropriately labelled. That is a formal, written permission, not an enforcement gap — the single fact that separates this page from our Instagram pornstars page, where the platform bans the same content by name.

The inclusion bar for this page has two parts. First, a verified X link: sourced from the performer’s own site, a Wikipedia external-links section, a Wikidata property, or a Linktree she publishes — the standard this site applies to every social link it carries. Second, a documented relationship to the platform beyond simply having an account: a quantified and dated following, a platform-named award (an AVN fan category was literally titled Twitter Queen), a career that started or ended on the platform itself, or a documented use of the account for advocacy, business or performer safety rather than promotion alone.

That second bar is why several of the most obvious names for this keyword are missing. A number of performers with genuinely verified X accounts in our dataset are not ranked on this specific page — not because their accounts are unverified, but because they are already the ranked entry for that same record on a different article in this programme, most often our Instagram pornstars page, and this programme does not duplicate a performer’s ranking argument across two pages once the roster-overlap cap is at stake. They are named directly in the near-misses section below.

One structural point distinguishes this page from most of the programme’s other platform rankings: X is not a funnel here the way Instagram is forced to be. Several performers on this list run their business — a studio label, a production company, a legal or advocacy practice — visibly and directly through the platform, rather than using it only as a compliant front end for a paid site elsewhere. That is why this page’s industry section spends as much time on labour advocacy, ownership history and age-verification law as it does on follower counts.

TermWhat it meansHow it differs
Verified checkmark (legacy)Twitter’s pre-2023 blue check, awarded after Twitter itself confirmed the account belonged to the named public figure — an identity check, not a purchase.Removed for almost all legacy holders in April 2023 and replaced by a checkmark tied to a paid subscription, which confirms only that someone is paying, not who they are — the reason this page treats the badge as meaningless on its own.
Verified checkmark (paid, current)A blue, gold or grey check available to any X Premium subscriber, regardless of whether the account’s identity has been separately confirmed.Distinct from the legacy badge above; anyone can buy one, including an impersonator, which is precisely the problem this page’s sourcing rule and the industry section’s detection advice both address.
Community NotesX’s crowdsourced fact-checking layer, which can attach a context note to a misleading post or account claim if enough contributors with differing viewpoints agree on it.Not a verification system and not run by X’s trust-and-safety staff — it corrects specific claims after the fact rather than confirming an account’s identity before the fact.
Adult content labelThe mandatory content warning X’s June 2024 policy requires on posts containing graphic nudity or sexual content, which gates the media behind a click-through and an age-affirmation setting.Different from a platform ban: the content is permitted and stays up, gated rather than removed — the opposite mechanism from Instagram’s outright prohibition.
Impersonation accountA fake profile using a real performer’s name, photos and a near-identical handle, typically now able to purchase the same paid checkmark a real account can.A materially harder problem on X since 2023 than it was under the old identity-verification system, and the specific threat this page’s no-guessed-handle sourcing rule exists to counter — see the industry section for how to spot one.
Context

From an opt-in exception to a written policy: four phases

2006–2013

An early, informally tolerant platform

Twitter launched in July 2006 with far less systematic content moderation than later platforms would build, and in practice tolerated graphic and sexual content with little consistent enforcement in its first several years — a looser starting position than Instagram, Facebook or YouTube ever occupied, and the foundation the rest of this platform’s distinct history is built on.

2013–2022

A formal opt-in exception, unmatched by any comparable platform

Twitter introduced an explicit, opt-in "Sensitive Media" setting allowing account holders to mark graphic or sexual content behind a click-through warning rather than removing it outright — a standing, structural exception no other major mainstream platform in this programme’s research maintained through the same period. That decade of comparative permissiveness is the direct reason the industry’s promotional and subscriber-facing activity concentrated on this platform well before Elon Musk’s ownership or the 2024 policy rewrite made the arrangement explicit.

October 2022 – 2023

Ownership change, a broken verification system, and an API overhaul

Musk’s acquisition closed on 27 October 2022. Weeks later, a paid-subscription verification product launched, was immediately exploited by impersonators buying checkmarks for fake brand and celebrity accounts, and was paused within days; legacy identity-based verification badges were removed for almost all holders by April 2023 and replaced with the paid system that stands today. In February 2023 the platform ended free access to its developer API, introducing a paid tier that broke many third-party tools performers, fans and researchers had relied on. The company was renamed X in July 2023, alongside widely reported cuts to trust-and-safety staff that researchers and creators have connected to less predictable moderation and reach in the years since — the direct cause of this page’s treatment of Longevity as a distinct, harder-earned credential on this platform than on Instagram.

June 2024 – present

A written policy, and new jurisdictional pressure

In June 2024, X updated its Adult content policy to state directly that consensually produced and distributed adult content is permitted when appropriately labelled — formal codification, not informal tolerance, and the fact that most separates this platform from Instagram’s flat ban. That permission arrived alongside a new external pressure: the UK’s Online Safety Act imposes "highly effective age assurance" duties on any service that publishes pornographic content, with Ofcom enforcement engaging from 25 July 2025, requiring age checks for UK users reaching this kind of content on X regardless of where the platform or the performer is based.

Cuts of the same data

Ranked by sub-category

Different cuts of the same scored data, for readers looking for something more specific than a general list.

A platform-named credential

The only entry on this list with an award category literally called Twitter Queen — AVN’s own 29th-ceremony fan vote, 2012.

The account is the origin, or the exit

One performer was discovered on the platform before she ever shot a scene; the other used it to announce her retirement to the audience it built.

Quantified reach, independently dated

Two entries with a specific follower figure attached to a specific date, rather than a following inferred from career length or fame.

A documented safety warning, years before #MeToo

The clearest case on this site of a performer using a personal account to warn colleagues about another industry figure, not to promote her own work.

Advocacy and labour organising that runs through the account

A union president, a sex-work labour lawyer, an advocacy-committee founder, an age-verification policy voice, and a Village Voice sex columnist — public commentary a platform ban would make far harder to sustain.

Mainstream crossover conducted in public, on the platform

Three performers whose platform presence generated mainstream national coverage entirely outside the adult-industry trade press.

Verified account, baseline standard, no single flashy incident

Ranked on a genuinely verified, authoritatively sourced X handle attached to a real career record — this page states plainly that no dramatic account-history story exists for these five, because none does.

Editorial process

The names everyone expects, and why they are not on this specific roster

Several performers with a genuinely verified X link in our dataset are not ranked on this page. None was excluded for a sourcing problem — every one of them clears this page’s inclusion bar as cleanly as anyone ranked above. Most are missing because this programme caps roster overlap between any two published articles at 20%, and each already has a defined ranking, with a fresh, non-duplicated argument, on another page — several of them on our Instagram pornstars page specifically, which this roster was built to have zero overlap with.

Background

The platform that permits the product: policy, commerce, advocacy, upheaval and impersonation

Five separate, documented developments define what it actually means to be a "Twitter pornstar" in 2026, and they point in a different direction from every other platform-specific article in this programme.

The policy is a written permission, not a loophole

X’s Adult content policy, updated in June 2024, states directly that consensually produced and distributed adult content is permitted, provided it carries the platform’s mandatory content label. That is a formal rule change, not an enforcement gap left open by inattention — and it is the single fact that most separates this page from our Instagram pornstars page, where the same content is banned by name. Every account ranked on this page operates inside that written permission.

Why that matters commercially

A written adult-content permission changes what an account can do compared with a platform that bans the same material outright. Performers ranked on this page can post promotional material without the deletion risk our Instagram pornstars page documents, link directly to a paid subscription platform rather than routing an audience through an intermediate compliant account, and message subscribers or fans directly through the platform itself — the direct promotion, subscription-link distribution and performer-to-fan contact that no other mainstream platform in this programme’s research permits at the same scale.

The labour and community dimension is real and it runs through this platform specifically

Several entries on this page hold their place for advocacy rather than an audience number: Alana Evans leads the Adult Performers Actors Guild, the organisation behind the documented November 2019 complaint that Instagram deleted more than 1,300 performer accounts without a stated violation; Lorelei Lee left performing to become a sex-work labour lawyer; Ela Darling co-founded the industry’s post-2011 advocacy body; Cherie DeVille’s public record includes advocacy specifically on age-verification policy. In November 2015, Stoya used her personal account to publish an allegation against a fellow performer, and several other performers came forward with related accounts in the days that followed — the allegation was denied and no criminal charges were filed, and this page states that directly — but the sequence is widely cited as one of the earliest instances of a platform functioning as a channel for performers to warn each other about a colleague, roughly two years before #MeToo entered the mainstream vocabulary. None of that kind of public speech is available to the same degree on a platform that bans the underlying subject matter.

The 2022–2023 upheaval had a documented effect on reach, and it is why this page treats Longevity differently

Elon Musk’s acquisition closed on 27 October 2022. A paid-subscription verification product launched weeks later, was rapidly exploited by impersonators, and was paused within days; legacy identity-based verification was removed for almost all holders by April 2023. In February 2023 the platform ended free developer-API access, breaking third-party tools many creators and researchers relied on. The company was renamed X in July 2023, alongside widely reported cuts to trust-and-safety staff that researchers and creators have connected to less predictable moderation and reach since. Surviving that sequence with an intact, still-active, still-verifiable account — as every performer ranked here has — is a distinct credential from simple longevity on a stable platform.

Age-verification law now reaches this platform directly, and impersonation is harder to spot since the badge changed meaning

The UK’s Online Safety Act imposes "highly effective age assurance" duties on any service publishing pornographic content, with Ofcom enforcement engaging from 25 July 2025 — a jurisdictional pressure that applies to X regardless of where a performer or the platform itself is based, and one British performers on this list, such as Tanya Tate, are reached by directly through their UK audience. Separately, the collapse of identity-based verification through 2022–2023 means a blue, gold or grey checkmark today confirms only a paid subscription, not identity — anyone, including an impersonator, can buy one. Cross-reference a handle against the performer’s own official site or a Wikipedia external-links section rather than trusting a search result or the badge alone; be suspicious of any account that follows you first and sends a payment link before you have engaged with its content; and check for a genuine, multi-year post history rather than a page that appeared recently with an already-large following. A performer’s official Linktree or bio-link page, where she publishes one, remains the most reliable single cross-check, because it is a resource she controls directly.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does X (Twitter) actually allow adult performers to post explicit content?

Yes, under a written policy. X’s Adult content policy, updated in June 2024, states that consensually produced and distributed adult content is permitted provided it carries the platform’s mandatory content label. That is a formal permission, distinct from the outright ban Instagram applies to the same content, covered on our separate Instagram pornstars page.

Who has the largest quantified X following among ranked performers?

Romi Rain’s own biography places her following at more than 933,000 on X, as of this dataset’s most recent audit in August 2026 — the largest specifically dated and sourced figure in this roster, though it is self-reported by the platform rather than independently audited, and we state that directly.

What changed for adult performers on X in June 2024?

X’s Adult content policy was updated to state, in writing, that consensually produced and distributed adult content is permitted when it carries the platform’s content label. Before that update, the platform’s tolerance for this content rested on a longer-standing but less formal "Sensitive Media" opt-in setting dating back years earlier; the 2024 change made the permission explicit rather than inferred.

Why isn’t Riley Reid, Angela White, Mia Khalifa or Amouranth on this list?

All four have a verified X account confirmed in our dataset and clear this page’s inclusion bar as cleanly as anyone ranked above. They are not ranked here because each is already the defined ranked entry on other published articles in this programme — most of them on our Instagram pornstars page — and duplicating a performer’s ranking argument across two pages would breach our roster-overlap cap. Full list, and where each is actually ranked, is in the near-misses section above.

Can I trust a blue checkmark on X to confirm a performer’s identity?

No, not on its own. Twitter’s original blue check confirmed the platform itself had verified the account’s identity. That system was replaced through 2022–2023 by a paid-subscription badge available to any X Premium subscriber, including an impersonator. Treat the badge as evidence someone is paying for a subscription, not as proof of who they are.

How can I tell a real performer’s X account from an impersonator?

Cross-reference the handle against her own official site or a Wikipedia external-links section rather than a search result or the paid checkmark alone; be wary of any account that follows you first and quickly sends a payment link; and check for a genuine, multi-year post history rather than a recently created page with an already-large following. Her official Linktree or bio-link page, where one exists, is usually the most reliable single cross-check.

Does the UK Online Safety Act affect adult performers’ accounts on X?

It affects the platform’s obligations to UK users rather than the performer’s account directly. The Act imposes "highly effective age assurance" duties on any service publishing pornographic content, with Ofcom enforcement engaging from 25 July 2025, requiring X to implement age checks for UK users reaching this content regardless of where the platform or the performer is based.

How did the 2022–2023 ownership change affect performer reach on X?

Publicly and by several converging changes: identity-based verification was replaced by a paid badge through 2022–2023, free developer-API access ended in February 2023 (breaking third-party tools some performers relied on), and widely reported cuts to trust-and-safety staff have been linked by researchers and creators to less predictable moderation and reach since. This page treats surviving that period with an intact account as a distinct credential rather than assuming continuity.

Is this the same list as an Instagram pornstars ranking?

No, and the difference is not cosmetic. Instagram bans the adult content this industry produces; X permits it under a written policy since June 2024. Our separate Instagram pornstars page covers Instagram’s deletion, shadowban and funnel dynamics specifically. This page has zero roster overlap with it by design, and none with our TikTok pornstars ranking either, where the platform rules are stricter than Instagram’s again.

How were these X accounts verified?

Every link comes from content/links.json, this site’s shared dataset of performer social accounts, sourced only from an authoritative page: the performer’s own official site, a Wikipedia external-links section, a Wikidata property, or a Linktree she publishes herself. A guessed handle built from a stage name is explicitly banned from that dataset, because in this vertical a plausible-looking guess very often resolves to an impersonator.

Methodology · The Pornstar Ranked Performer Index v3.0

How we ranked these performers

A 100-point composite built from six weighted pillars. Four are calculated directly from the performer records - award archives, credit counts, studio breadth and career timelines - by a script, so the same data always produces the same ranking. Two rest partly on editorial judgement, and where an individual score has been set by hand rather than computed, the profile says so and gives the reason. Everything here is auditable against the sources listed on each profile.

Scores are normalised within each article's own field rather than against an absolute ideal. That matters because award ecosystems are not comparable: a Japanese performer is scored against FANZA, AV Open and Sky PerfecTV results, an American one against AVN, XBIZ and XRCO. Ranking them on one absolute scale would be meaningless. A 74 is not a bad score - it is a placement inside a field of people who are already exceptional.

⚖︎

Weights for this category. Recognition falls to 8% from our 25% default and Body of Work falls to 7% from 20% — the same logic our Instagram pornstars page applies: an AVN trophy or a scene-credit count measures a studio career and says nothing about a platform presence. Demand rises to 28% from 20%, and Influence rises further still, to 36% from 10%, together carrying 64% of the rubric. Influence is weighted a point higher here than on the Instagram page specifically because X is not a funnel platform for this industry the way Instagram is — it is where performers on this list run production companies and studio labels (Kayden Kross, Ela Darling), lead the industry’s own labour union (Alana Evans), practise sex-work labour law (Lorelei Lee), publish age-verification advocacy and mainstream journalism (Cherie DeVille), and host a podcast that reaches CNN and The Daily Show (Holly Randall). None of that is captured by Demand, which measures audience size; it is what Influence exists to measure, and on this platform specifically it does more work than anywhere else in the programme. Longevity holds at 13%, a point above the Instagram page’s 10%, because X’s performers have had to survive a specific, dateable sequence of platform shocks — the October 2022 ownership change, the collapse and replacement of identity verification through 2023, the February 2023 API pricing overhaul, and the July 2023 rebrand — that Instagram’s history simply does not include. Craft falls to 8% because screen performance has no bearing on a text-and-image feed.

Every one of the 19 names below already carried a verified X link in our performer dataset before this article existed, sourced against an authoritative page rather than guessed from a name — the same standard this site applies to every social link it publishes. That standard matters more here than on most pages: X’s own verification system stopped meaning "Meta or X itself confirmed this is the named public figure" once paid-subscription checkmarks replaced identity-based verification through 2022–2023, so a blue check next to a name is no longer, on its own, proof of anything. The industry section below explains exactly what changed and how to tell a real account from an impersonator now that the badge alone cannot.

The rubric is re-weighted for the same reason our Instagram pornstars page re-weights its own, only further: Demand and Influence carry 64% of the score here, because on a platform performers can use directly — for promotion, subscriber contact, labour advocacy and, in one documented case, warning other performers about a colleague — Influence measures something Recognition and Body of Work never could. The full argument, including why Longevity is treated differently from the Instagram page, is published in pillarWeightNote below.

⚠︎

Before you publish this page: All 19 performers ranked on this page carry a verified X link in content/links.json, sourced from an authoritative page — never a guessed handle. Follower figures are stated as dated estimates drawn from each performer’s own dataset record, not as current, X-published figures, because follower counts move constantly and are self-reported by the platform rather than independently audited. The policy, ownership, verification and legal facts described in the industry section are sourced to X’s own published Adult content policy, public reporting on the platform’s 2022–2023 ownership and verification changes, and the UK Online Safety Act’s statutory age-assurance provisions, and are general to the category rather than claimed as a specific, undocumented event for any individual performer unless her entry says so directly. This page is re-audited every six months; verify any performer’s account status directly on the platform before republishing a figure from here elsewhere.

Industry Recognition
8%
Computed from records

Awards, nominations and Hall of Fame status.

How it is scored

Calculated by script from the award arrays on each performer record. A Hall of Fame induction is the heaviest single signal, then a Performer of the Year win, then a category win, then any other competitive win, then a nomination at roughly a quarter weight. Lifetime Achievement honours are scored as ordinary wins rather than as Performer of the Year, because Hall of Fame induction already captures career recognition and double-counting it visibly distorted an earlier edition of our all-time list.

Awards are the only independently-audited quality signal this industry produces. They are voted by peers and press, their archives are public, and they are the one input a reader can check without taking our word for anything.

Body of Work
7%
Computed from records

Credit volume, studio breadth and niche-defining titles.

How it is scored

Calculated by script from documented credit count and the number of distinct studios a performer has worked with. Volume is capped logarithmically so that breadth outweighs raw output: a performer with 200 credits across fourteen studios scores above one with 900 for a single network, because fourteen independent buyers agreeing is a stronger signal than one buyer repeating.

This is the pillar that separates a long, in-demand career from a brief, high-visibility moment. Studio breadth is the anti-gaming control: any one studio can push any one performer, but fourteen of them agreeing is signal.

Audience Demand
28%
Blind-scored panel

Branded search interest where we have data; an editorial estimate where we do not.

How it is scored

This is the weakest pillar in the model and we would rather say so than dress it up. Where a performer's own name draws measurable search interest, that measurement is used directly. At present that covers a minority of the performers we have scored. For everyone else the score is seeded from the performer's own computed profile and adjusted editorially, and every seeded value is flagged for review before publication. Any profile whose Demand figure was set by hand rather than measured carries a disclosure saying so.

A best-of list that ignores what audiences actually watch is a critics' list pretending to be a popularity list. We measure demand separately so you can see when a performer is decorated but niche, or hugely popular and under-awarded - but we will not claim precision we do not have.

Craft & Screen Presence
8%
Blind-scored panel

Performance quality, range and screen presence. An editorial judgement.

How it is scored

There is no computable proxy for this in any public record, so it is a judgement made by the editorial desk against the acting-category award record, directorial praise on the record, and the range of production types a performer is cast in. It carries a deliberately capped weight for exactly that reason, and it is shown as its own line on every profile rather than folded invisibly into a total.

We would rather show you a bounded 15% judgement call, labelled as one, than launder taste through a number engineered to look objective.

Longevity & Consistency
13%
Computed from records

Years active, output consistency and successful career restarts.

How it is scored

Calculated by script from documented debut year to the most recent verified release, adjusted for gaps. A performer who left and returned to award-level work scores above one with the same raw year count and no interruption, because a successful restart is harder than continuity. Retired performers are measured to their documented end date, not to today.

This category rewards sustained careers by definition — the performers who define it have usually been working for fifteen years or more. Longevity is the pillar that makes that explicit rather than smuggling it in.

Influence & Crossover
36%
Blind-scored panel

Mainstream reach, business ownership, directing and advocacy.

How it is scored

Seeded by script from counts of documented mainstream credits and business ventures, then reviewed. That proxy works reasonably for modern careers and fails badly for historical ones, so for performers who worked before the award and media record our model reads, the figure is set by hand. Every such case is disclosed on the profile.

Some performers changed what the job is, not just how well it is done. Nina Hartley's sex-education work and Lisa Ann's crossover into sports broadcasting are career facts that a ranking which only counts scenes would completely miss.

The six-step process

1

Define the field

We assemble every performer with verified professional credits in the category and a checkable public record. Each article states how many names were considered and how many were cut.

2

Pull the records

For each performer we pull award-body archives, credit databases, encyclopaedia entries and verified official accounts. Anything we cannot source is recorded as unverified and left out of scoring rather than guessed. Aggregator and AI-generated biography sites are excluded outright - they recycle each other's errors, and they are the reason so much of the award data circulating for this industry is wrong.

3

Compute the record-derived pillars

Recognition, Body of Work and Longevity are calculated by script from the pulled records, normalised within that article's field. No human sets these numbers.

4

Set the judgement pillars

Craft is an editorial score. Demand uses measured audience search interest where we have it and an editorial estimate where we do not. Influence is seeded from documented crossover and business activity, then reviewed by hand.

5

Weight, rank, and sanity-check

Pillar weights are set per article and published on the page, because the question a category asks changes what should count. The desk then reviews the order for failures of common sense - most often performers whose careers predate the award record entirely.

6

Disclose every intervention

Where step 5 changes a score, the affected profile carries a note saying which pillars were altered and why. Where a pillar value is seeded rather than measured, the build reports it. We publish the corrections log rather than editing silently.

✕ Who we exclude, and why

  • Performers with credible unresolved allegations of coercion, assault or trafficking. A ranking is an endorsement of a professional record, and we will not extend one where consent is in question.
  • Anyone whose age at the time of any listed credit cannot be independently verified as 18 or over.
  • Performers who have publicly asked to be left off editorial rankings. Removal requests are honoured without argument and without requiring a reason.
  • Content, imagery or links sourced from leaks, hacks or non-consensual distribution — regardless of how widely circulated it is elsewhere.

△ Where this model is weak

  • Demand is our weakest inputWe have measured audience search interest for only a minority of the performers scored so far. The rest carry editorial estimates. This is the pillar most likely to move as our measurement of audience demand widens.
  • Award archives favour recent, American productionAVN, XBIZ and XRCO are US bodies founded in the 1980s and 1990s. Performers who worked earlier, or outside the United States, are structurally disadvantaged by the Recognition pillar. We correct for it by hand and disclose each correction, which is a fix but not a solution.
  • Craft is a judgement, and judgements varyOne informed desk scoring against the acting-award record is better than asserting an order with no reasoning, but it is still a view. It is capped at 15% and shown separately for that reason.
  • Pre-2000 credit counts are unreliableOlder releases are documented far less consistently than modern ones, which understates the output of long careers. The Longevity pillar partly offsets this; it does not fully correct it.
  • Normalisation means scores are not cross-comparableAn 88 on our Japanese ranking and an 88 on our MILF ranking are not the same achievement. Each score positions a performer within her own field, and comparing across articles is not a use these numbers support.

Corrections and update log

Factual corrections are made within 48 hours of verification and logged, dated and described at the foot of the article. Changes to the scoring model itself are logged the same way - when we found that Lifetime Achievement honours were being scored as Performer of the Year wins, we published the fix and the resulting rank changes rather than quietly re-running the build. Cadence: Full re-audit every six months; award pillars updated within 14 days of each major awards ceremony. Next full audit: 2027-02-20.

What changed in this edition

  • First edition. Nineteen performers scored on the Pornstar Ranked Performer Index v2.1, re-weighted specifically for X presence: Recognition and Body of Work cut to a combined 15%, Demand and Influence raised to a combined 64%.
  • Zero roster overlap with our Instagram pornstars page by deliberate design, even though several obvious "twitter pornstars" search names — Riley Reid, Angela White, Asa Akira, Mia Khalifa, Lana Rhoades, Abella Danger, Eva Elfie and Amouranth among them — are verified on X in our dataset too. All are named in the near-misses section with the article where each is already ranked.
  • The industry section documents five specific, sourced developments particular to this platform: the June 2024 policy update permitting adult content by name, the commercial mechanics that follow from it, the labour-advocacy and performer-safety use of the platform, the 2022–2023 ownership, verification and API upheaval, and the UK Online Safety Act’s age-assurance duties enforced from July 2025.
  • No new performer records were created for this article. All 19 roster entries reuse existing performer records already in our corpus; only the X-specific ranking argument is new. No new shared records were needed because every performer for this roster already existed in the dataset.
