Asa Akira
Career
Akira worked as a dominatrix and stripper before debuting on camera in 2006, going on to appear in nearly 700 productions and become one of the most decorated performers of the 2010s. She won AVN Female Performer of the Year in 2013, only the third Asian performer to take the award. She moved into directing in 2013 and signed an exclusive contract with Wicked Pictures the same year, building a substantial parallel career as a podcast host and published memoirist.
