Pornstar Ranked

The Best Brazilian Pornstars, Ranked

Eighteen performers on this page share a documented Brazilian birthplace and almost nothing else about how they built their careers, and that split is the actual subject of this page rather than a footnote on it.

Gina Valentina and Jessie Rogers went straight into the American industry and hold AVN, XBIZ, Penthouse and NightMoves hardware; Bruna Ferraz never worked for an American studio in her life; Priscilla Sol's entire career happened in France.

Monica Mattos is the one performer here who worked both systems and won in both. A ranking that scores recognition the same way for all eighteen would be measuring proximity to foreign award bodies and calling it Brazilian merit, which is why this page's pillar weighting is built specifically to correct for it.

The short answer

Patrícia Kimberly ranks first among Brazilian pornstars on our index. Born in São Paulo, she holds ten individually documented Prêmio Sexy Hot wins between 2015 and 2019, including a four-category sweep in 2016 and the ceremony's flagship Melhor Atriz Hétero title outright in 2017 — the deepest domestic award record on this page. Monica Mattos, the first Latin American to win AVN Female Foreign Performer of the Year, ranks second, and Gina Valentina, a Penthouse Pet of the Year with paired AVN and XBIZ wins, ranks third — a spread of just over one index point across all three, which this page states directly rather than overstating as a verdict.

Why Patrícia ranks 1st

Patrícia Kimberly holds the deepest and longest Prêmio Sexy Hot award record of anyone ranked here: ten individually documented wins between 2015 and 2019, anchored by a four-category sweep at the 2016 ceremony — Dupla Penetração, Fetiche, Orgia/Gang Bang and Ménage — that the ceremony's own Wikipedia history credits as the first time any performer won four acting categories in one year.

She followed it by winning the flagship Melhor Atriz Hétero title outright in 2017 and Melhor Atriz LGBT in both 2018 and 2019.

Born in São Paulo, she entered the industry in 2005 and has become an outspoken public voice for sex work on Brazilian talk shows, and was named a Carnival muse for São Paulo's Acadêmicos do Tatuapé school in 2018.

The case against: No documented total credit count or studio roster exists for a twenty-year career, and a prior version of this record incorrectly credited her with a different 2016 win before correction against the ceremony's own results table.

Born in São Paulo, Patrícia Kimberly entered adult film in 2005 after working in the city's nightlife, and has become an outspoken public voice for sex work and the adult industry in Brazilian talk-show appearances. She swept four scene categories at the 2016 Prêmio Sexy Hot (Dupla Penetração, Fetiche, Orgia/Gang Bang and Ménage) — the sweep Wikipedia's Prêmio Sexy Hot article credits as a ceremony first — and went on to win the flagship Melhor Atriz Hétero title outright in 2017, plus Melhor Atriz LGBT in both 2018 and 2019. In 2018 she was named a Carnival muse for São Paulo's Acadêmicos do Tatuapé samba school.

Signature: Credited by the Prêmio Sexy Hot's own Wikipedia history as the first performer ever to win four acting categories in one ceremony.

Why Monica ranks 2nd

Monica Mattos holds a specific historical first that no other performer on this page can claim: the first Latin American performer to win AVN's Female Foreign Performer of the Year, taking the title outright in 2008 for her performance in Devassa after a 2007 nomination in the same category.

Her decade-long career, run chiefly through the Brasileirinhas group across roughly 300 films from 2003, extended into the American market from 2005 and added an Adam Film World Best Latin Starlet win in 2007 and a 2014 Prêmio Sexy Hot win.

Her 2008 AVN win is independently corroborated against the award's own winners-list page, making it one of the more solidly verified credits anywhere in this cohort. She moved into independent horror and genre film after retiring around 2013.

The case against: Her exact birth date is undocumented beyond a secondary-sourced year, and her roughly 300-title credit count is a Wikipedia-reported approximation rather than an itemised filmography.

Mattos began performing in Brazil in 2003 and extended into the American market from 2005, working chiefly through the Brasileirinhas group across roughly a decade and about 300 films. After an Adam Film World Best Latin Starlet win and an AVN Female Foreign Performer of the Year nomination in 2007, she won the category outright at the 2008 AVN Awards for her performance in Devassa, becoming the first Latin American performer to take the title. She left adult film around 2013 and moved into independent horror and genre pictures, including Zombeach (2011) and Astaroth, Female Demon (2018).

Signature: The AVN Award for Female Foreign Performer of the Year win her Wikipedia page reports for 2008 checks out directly against the award's own Wikipedia results page — a genuine, verifiable first for a Brazilian-born performer in that category.

Why Gina ranks 3rd

Gina Valentina holds the strongest American-studio award record of any Brazilian-born performer this page can document. Born Victoria Celeste Carvalho in Rio de Janeiro, she entered the US industry directly at eighteen in 2015 with no Brazilian domestic credit on record at all, working straight into contract studios including Brazzers, Evil Angel, Vixen and Tushy — the reverse of the Brasileirinhas-first route several other names on this page took.

Penthouse named her Pet of the Year in 2018, and she holds a paired AVN and XBIZ Best Virtual Reality Sex Scene win from 2020 plus an AVN Best Group Lesbian Sex Scene win in 2022, against a documented filmography above 900 credits — a genuinely competitive, multi-body record built entirely outside Brazil's own industry.

The case against: Her career has no Brazilian domestic credit at all, so her placement measures proximity to the American award system rather than anything specific to Brazil's own industry — a distinction this page's pillar weighting is built specifically to correct for.

Why Fabiane ranks 4th

Fabiane Thompson is one of only two performers on this page to win the ceremony's flagship annual actress title at the very first edition, in 2014, when it still ran under the name Prêmio da Indústria Pornô rather than Prêmio Sexy Hot.

Born in Canoas, Rio Grande do Sul, she began performing in 2004 at twenty-one and worked across a genuinely wide range of Brazilian and international studios — Brasileirinhas, Evil Angel, Reality Kings and X-Plastic among them — before adding two further shared scene-category wins in 2017 and 2018.

She retired from adult film and stripping in November 2018, relocated to the United States the following year, and now runs a YouTube channel documenting daily life with her husband.

The case against: No documented total credit count exists for a career spanning fourteen years, and two of her three Sexy Hot wins are shared, multi-performer scene-category credits rather than solo titles.

Why Dread ranks 5th

Dread Hot produced the most concentrated single-ceremony result on this page: three Prêmio Sexy Hot category wins in 2019 alone — Best Heterosexual Actress, Best Female Homo Scene and Best Oral Sex Scene — after a 2018 win for LGBT Revelation of the Year.

Born Vitória de Mesquita Schwarzelühr de Castro Almeida in Jacareí, she holds an advertising degree and left agency work in 2016 to start camming before moving into film production with X-Plastic.

Beyond adult film she has appeared on HBO Brasil's Greg News and in a Porta dos Fundos sketch, co-hosts the Hermanas podcast, and was ranked the sixth most-searched Brazilian performer on XVideos in 2021.

The case against: No documented total credit count or full studio roster beyond X-Plastic exists, and her four wins are concentrated in two consecutive ceremony years rather than spread across a longer career.

Why Jessie ranks 6th

Jessie Rogers is the only performer on this page with a fully bracketed retirement and return, ten years apart, each end backed by a fan-voted win.

Born Jessica Fernandes in Goiânia, she moved to the United States at six, debuted in adult film in August 2011, and won NightMoves titles for Best Ass and Best Butt in 2013 and 2014 before leaving the industry around 2013 to become a public advocate for mandatory condom use, testifying before the California State Assembly in support of AB 332.

She returned to performing in 2023 and won Adult Empire's Comeback Star of the Year in 2024 — a documented arc few performers in this field, or this programme, can match.

The case against: Her own Wikipedia page lists a 2013 AVN "Sexiest Woman Alive" win and a cluster of 2024 AVN wins that do not appear on any AVN ceremony page; none of those unverifiable claims are scored here.

Why Olivia ranks 7th

Olivia Del Rio's AVN Hall of Fame induction in January 2025, sixteen years after she stopped performing, is the single strongest trade-body recognition any performer on this page holds.

Born Olivia Neves de Oliveira in Rio Casca, Minas Gerais, she began her career in Paris and made roughly 250 titles for mostly American and French productions over fifteen years, drawing four AVN nominations between 2003 and 2005 — including Female Performer of the Year in 2004 — without ever converting one into a competitive win during her active career.

That the Hall of Fame recognition arrived so long after retirement, built on a body of work made almost entirely for foreign rather than domestic studios, is itself the distinctive fact her placement rests on.

The case against: Every one of her four AVN nominations from her active career remained a nomination, not a win, and no English-language Wikipedia biography exists to independently extend her Portuguese-sourced career narrative.

Career

Born Olivia Neves de Oliveira in Rio Casca, Minas Gerais, Del Rio began her career in Paris working for director Patrice Cabanel before debuting on film in 1994 at twenty-five, going on to make roughly 250 titles for mostly American and French productions over fifteen years. She drew four AVN nominations in 2003–2005, including Female Performer of the Year in 2004, without a competitive win, and appeared in two episodes of the Swedish television programme Hi Chaparall in 2003. She retired from performing around 2009, later worked as a luxury escort until 2011, then left the industry; in January 2025 the AVN Awards inducted her into its Hall of Fame at the 42nd ceremony.

Signature: A Hall of Fame induction that arrived sixteen years after retirement, on the strength of a body of work built almost entirely for American and French studios rather than the domestic Brazilian market.

Why Vivi ranks 8th

Vivi Fernandez built the longest and most sustained mainstream-media crossover of any performer on this page. Born Viviane Moreira Fernandes in Brasília, she was already known through dance competitions and 1990s television variety shows before signing an exclusive Brasileirinhas contract in 2005; her debut film, vivi.com.vc, is documented as a sales-record-breaking release, reported to have earned over R$1 million across her run through 2009.

She then moved fully into mainstream Brazilian television and theatre, appearing on SBT's A Praça é Nossa, Programa Silvio Santos and The Noite, and on RecordTV's reality franchises A Grande Conquista 2 and A Fazenda 16 — a media presence that has outlasted her adult-film career by well over a decade.

The case against: She holds no confirmed adult-industry award of any kind, and the reported earnings figure from her debut film is not independently audited beyond the original sales-record claim.

Born Viviane Moreira Fernandes in Brasília, Vivi Fernandez first became known through dance competitions and television variety show appearances in the late 1990s, including Programa H. She signed an exclusive contract with Brasileirinhas in 2005, and her debut film, vivi.com.vc, is documented as a sales-record-breaking release; a sequel, vivi.com.anal, followed in 2006. Her adult-film run lasted through 2009, reported to have earned over R$1 million, after which she moved fully into mainstream Brazilian television and theatre, appearing on SBT's A Praça é Nossa, Programa Silvio Santos and The Noite, and on RecordTV's reality shows A Grande Conquista 2 and A Fazenda 16. She holds no confirmed adult-industry award.

Why Bárbara ranks 9th

Bárbara Costa's career is one of the most cleanly bracketed on this page: entering the industry in 2010, winning Melhor Atriz LGBT plus a shared Best Oral Sex Scene award at the 2016 Prêmio Sexy Hot, and retiring on a specific, documented date — 6 November 2016 — rather than fading out undocumented.

Born Vanessa Danieli dos Santos in Mogi das Cruzes, she worked with Brasileirinhas and BM Video before leaving performing to launch the geek-culture YouTube channel Barbaridade Nerd, complete a marketing degree in 2019, and build a second career as an influencer-marketing analyst and podcast host — a post-porn career trajectory as fully documented as her performing one.

The case against: Portuguese Wikipedia credits her with three total Sexy Hot wins but only two are individually attributed in available sourcing, and no total credit count exists for her six-year career.

Why Bruna ranks 10th

Bruna Ferraz is the one performer on this page who never worked for an American studio at any point in her career — a genuinely domestic Brazilian filmography rather than the US-facing careers several other names here built.

Born in Porto Alegre, she became known through webcam shows before signing an exclusive Brasileirinhas contract in 2007, debuting that year in A Garota da Web Sex.

She crossed into mainstream Brazilian television with appearances on SBT's Sem Controle and RedeTV!'s Eu Vi na TV, co-hosted the pay-TV talk show Calcinha Justa, and took part in São Paulo's 2012 Carnival parade with Unidos de Vila Maria — the clearest and most fully domestic career arc this page documents.

The case against: She holds no confirmed industry award of any kind, and no independently documented total credit count exists beyond her exclusive Brasileirinhas affiliation.

Career

Born in Porto Alegre, Bruna Ferraz built her career entirely inside Brazil’s actual domestic industry rather than the American system most of this list works through. She became known through webcam shows before signing an exclusive contract with Brasileirinhas — documented on Wikipedia as Brazil’s largest adult film producer — in 2007, debuting on film that year in A Garota da Web Sex. She crossed into mainstream Brazilian television with appearances on SBT’s Sem Controle and RedeTV!’s Eu Vi na TV, co-hosted the pay-TV talk show Calcinha Justa on Sexprivé Brasileirinhas, and took part in São Paulo’s 2012 Carnival parade with the samba school Unidos de Vila Maria. Why Fernandinha ranks 11th

Fernandinha Fernandez built the single longest continuous career this page documents: fourteen years, from 2007 to 2021, inside Brazil's domestic industry, extending into work in France and Spain along the way.

Born Carla Mallet in Porto Alegre, she was marketed early on as the sister of fellow performer Vivi Fernandez, won a Prêmio Sexy Hot category award in 2018 for a full-service scene, and by retirement in 2021 was ranked the ninth most-viewed Brazilian performer on XVideos — ending a long career at genuine continued relevance rather than fading out.

She has since moved into digital content creation, livestreaming on Twitch and co-founding a marketing venture with her partner.

The case against: No documented total credit count or full studio roster exists despite the career's length, and her single confirmed award is sourced only to her own Wikipedia entry rather than an independent ceremony page.

Mel Fire is the only performer on this page with a confirmed acting credit on an HBO-branded scripted series: cast in the 2019 HBO Brasil series Hard, two years after winning Revelação do Ano LGBT at the 2017 Prêmio Sexy Hot.

Based in São Paulo and holding a DRT professional registration, she trained in theatre from childhood before entering adult film in 2015, and has since built a career beyond it as an exotic performer in Las Vegas, a Venus Berlin trade-fair guest, and the author of a published book, Alpha Woman, in 2020. Why Emme ranks 13th

Emme White's four Prêmio Sexy Hot wins at the 2017 ceremony — including Best Female Homo Actress — is the densest concentration of wins in a single year anywhere on this page, and she followed it with three further shared scene-category wins in 2018.

Born Emeline Rodrigues Valejos in Porto Alegre, she worked as a belly dancer before entering Brazil's adult industry in 2015, appearing in roughly 46 films. She has since described herself as a former performer, working instead as a camgirl, singer and podcast host, presenting the show Prosa Guiada since 2021.

Why Giovana ranks 14th

Giovana Bombom holds two Prêmio Sexy Hot wins in the same category three years apart, 2016 and 2019, alongside three further nominations across acting and scene categories in between.

Born Giovana Frazão in Amazonas and raised between Bahia and São Luís, she lost both parents at thirteen, worked a string of jobs before moving to Rio de Janeiro at fifteen, and debuted on film in late 2015 for producer Brad Montana.

She began producing and directing her own films in 2018 after studying cinema on scholarship — one of the few performer-to-producer transitions this page documents in detail — and regional outlet DOL's own coverage of the 2019 ceremony described her, in the outlet's words, as the only Black actress nominated in her category that year.

The case against: Three of her five documented awards are nominations rather than wins, no total credit count or studio roster is documented, and the description of her as "negra" comes from a reporting outlet rather than her own stated words — this page does not upgrade it into a self-identification.

Born Giovana Frazão in Amazonas to a Bahian father and raised between Bahia and São Luís, Maranhão, she lost both parents in a car accident at age 13 and worked a string of jobs — dancer, waitress, parking attendant, nanny, cook — before moving to Rio de Janeiro at 15 to work in striptease. She debuted on film for producer Brad Montana at the end of 2015 and won her first Prêmio Sexy Hot, for Best Orgy/Gang Bang Scene, in 2016, followed by three nominations in 2017 and a second Orgy/Gang Bang win in 2019. Regional outlet DOL, covering that 2019 ceremony, identified her in its own reporting as "negra" and described her wearing "cabelo black power" (a natural, Black-power-style Afro) as, in the outlet's account, the only Black actress nominated in her category that year. She began producing her own films in 2018 after studying cinema on scholarship, and has spoken publicly about wanting pornography to "valorizar as mulheres brasileiras" beyond fetishization.

Signature: Identified by name and hairstyle — "cabelo black power" — as the only Black actress nominated in her category at the 2019 Prêmio Sexy Hot, per regional outlet DOL's own reporting rather than a claim from her own promotional materials.

She later presented the reality show A Casa das Brasileirinhas and, in 2022, ran for federal deputy for Rio de Janeiro, receiving 4,997 votes.

Why Aline ranks 16th

Aline Rios entered the industry through Brasileirinhas' Casa das Brasileirinhas reality format in 2016 and won Revelação do Ano Hétero that same year for Pornô Fantasy 2 — a specific, documented title attached to a specific, dated award, which is rarer in this cohort than it sounds.

Her four-year career ended when she was killed in a stabbing in Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro, dying of her injuries on 1 September 2020 at 28, a case reported by mainstream Brazilian press with no arrest made at the time.

She is ranked on the one verified credit her short career produced, stated plainly rather than padded with undocumented detail.

The case against: No documented total credit count or studio roster beyond Brasileirinhas exists for her four-year career, and her single award is a newcomer-category win rather than a flagship title.

Career

Born Luane Honório de Souza Rios, Aline Rios entered adult film in 2016 through the Brasileirinhas reality production Casa das Brasileirinhas, and won Revelação do Ano Hétero at the 2016 Prêmio Sexy Hot for Pornô Fantasy 2. She died on 1 September 2020, aged 28, in Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro, of injuries sustained in a stabbing some three months earlier; the case was reported by mainstream Brazilian press and no arrest was made at the time. No documented credit count or studio roster beyond Brasileirinhas is available for her four-year career.

Why Angel ranks 17th

Angel Lima is reported to have won three of four categories she was nominated in at the very first Prêmio da Indústria Pornô ceremony in October 2014, before taking the renamed Prêmio Sexy Hot's flagship Melhor Atriz Hétero title outright the following year — one of the strongest opening-two-years runs this page documents, even though the specific 2014 category names are not itemised beyond that nomination-level detail.

Born in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, she also appeared on RedeTV!'s Teste de Fidelidade and worked as an erotic photography model.

The case against: Her 2014 wins are sourced only to secondary reporting of "three of four nominations" with no category names given, her career debut year is undocumented, and no total credit count exists.

Career

Born in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Angel Lima became one of the more decorated performers of the Prêmio Sexy Hot's early years. At the inaugural Prêmio da Indústria Pornô in October 2014 she was reportedly nominated in four categories and won three, though the specific category names are not documented beyond that nomination-level detail; the following year she won the ceremony's top annual title outright, Melhor Atriz Hétero, at the newly renamed Prêmio Sexy Hot 2015. She also appeared on the RedeTV! program Teste de Fidelidade and worked as an erotic photography model.

Why Priscilla ranks 18th

Priscilla Sol built the only career on this page routed entirely through Europe's Marc Dorcel studio system rather than Brazil's own industry or the American one.

Discovered while studying fashion in France, she signed an exclusive Dorcel Girl contract after her 2004 debut, made thirteen titles for the studio through 2006, and won Berlin's Venus Award for Best Newcomer in 2004 before drawing two AVN nominations in 2007 — Female Foreign Performer of the Year and Best Sex Scene in a Foreign-Shot Production — for Pornochic 9: Sonya & Priscila. She left the industry abruptly around 2006–2007, calling adult film a brief chapter, and returned to fashion.

The case against: Her career lasted only two to three years and thirteen titles, and neither of her two 2007 AVN nominations converted into a win.

Career

Sol was studying fashion in France when a Marc Dorcel press attaché found her online; she signed an exclusive Dorcel Girl contract for 2005 after debuting in 2004 at twenty-three, and made thirteen titles for the studio through 2006, including Pornochic 6: Priscila. Berlin's Venus Award named her Best Newcomer in 2004, and at the 2007 AVN Awards she drew nominations for Female Foreign Performer of the Year and Best Sex Scene in a Foreign-Shot Production for Pornochic 9: Sonya & Priscila. She left the industry abruptly around 2006–2007, stating adult film had been a brief chapter, and returned to fashion.

Signature: A short, tightly documented Marc Dorcel exclusive career — thirteen titles in two years — that nonetheless drew a competitive AVN nomination, distinguishing her from Brazilian performers with far longer but less internationally recognized filmographies.

A third career track this ranking does not score, and one correction worth stating

Mariska X, born in Brazil in 1978 and based in Belgium since around 2008, founded her own production label in 2012 and moved into directing from 2014. She won the Venus Award for Best Newcomer in the pornographic-film category in 2017 and the XBIZ Europa Award for Performer/Director Site of the Year in 2020 — a European career track distinct from both the AVN/XBIZ system and the domestic Prêmio Sexy Hot circuit this page's roster is scored against.

40 ans, Tentations d'une Femme Mariée (2018); Betrayal (Dorcel/Pulse) — AVN Best Actress nominee, 2022 2009

Her record also carries the kind of correction this programme exists to catch: Wikidata credits her with two AVN wins at the 39th AVN Awards in 2022, but AVN's own published results show she was a nominee for Best Actress that year, not a winner, and a different performer won Best Directing: International Production. She is named here on a genuine but differently-structured European award record rather than scored against either half of the ranked eighteen above.

Presented unranked. No composite score is computed for her, she is not part of the eighteen-performer roster above, and no ItemList entry is emitted for this section.

Definitions

Two populations that never competed for the same prizes

Every performer on this page was born in Brazil, but that single fact conceals a split this page treats as its central finding rather than a footnote: roughly half built careers entirely inside the American and European studio and award systems, and roughly half built careers entirely inside Brazil's own domestic industry, chiefly through the Brasileirinhas production group and the Prêmio Sexy Hot ceremony it is closely associated with. The two halves essentially never competed against each other for the same prize, which is why comparing them on a Recognition-heavy rubric would measure something other than what "best Brazilian pornstar" actually asks.

On the international side, Gina Valentina, Jessie Rogers and Priscilla Sol built their entire recognition record through foreign bodies — AVN, XBIZ, Penthouse, NightMoves and, in Priscilla Sol's case, France's Venus Award — after leaving Brazil's domestic system before their careers began or without ever entering it at all. On the domestic side, Bruna Ferraz, Vivi Fernandez, Fernandinha Fernandez, Patrícia Kimberly and most of the remaining fourteen performers built their careers through Brasileirinhas or comparable Brazilian production and won their recognition, where they won any, through Prêmio Sexy Hot. Monica Mattos is the single performer on this page who worked and won in both systems, which is part of why her AVN Foreign Female Performer of the Year win is treated as unusually significant here.

That domestic circuit is dormant, not merely small. Prêmio Sexy Hot ran six editions, from 2014 to 2019; its 2020 ceremony was postponed and no source available for this page confirms a seventh edition has taken place since. That closure sets a hard ceiling on how recently any performer here could have won a Brazil-specific award, and it is the direct reason this page's Recognition weight is reduced rather than a stylistic choice.

One further documentation fact belongs here rather than buried in a footnote: of the eighteen performers on this page, only two — Nego Catra, self-described as preto in a sourced interview (ranked on this site's Ebony and BBC pornstars pages rather than here), and Giovana Bombom, described by regional outlet DOL as negra in the outlet's own reporting — have any documented racial self-identification or press description at all, against a field where most Brazilians are Black or pardo. This page states that documentation gap directly, in `dataNotice` below, and speculates about no individual's race beyond what is sourced.

TermWhat it meansHow it differs
Domestic Brazilian careerBuilt chiefly through Brazil-based production — most commonly Brasileirinhas — and recognised, where recognised at all, through Prêmio Sexy Hot.Distinct from an international career built through American or European studios and award bodies, even though both populations are equally Brazilian by birth.
Prêmio Sexy HotThe only sustained Brazil-specific adult-industry award this page's sourcing documents. Ran under the name Prêmio da Indústria Pornô at its 2014 debut, then as Prêmio Sexy Hot through 2019.Not equivalent in scale or documentation depth to AVN or XBIZ, and currently dormant — no confirmed edition since 2019.
AVN Female Foreign Performer of the YearThe AVN category recognising performers working outside the main US market. Monica Mattos won it in 2008, the first Latin American performer to do so.A separate and smaller field than AVN's main Female Performer of the Year category.
"Negra" / racial description in Brazilian pressGiovana Bombom's entry cites regional outlet DOL's own 2019 description of her as negra — a reporting outlet's characterisation. Not the same claim as a performer's own self-identification, which this page states clearly rather than blurring the two.
Dormant award circuitAn award body with a real, documented multi-year history that has not run a confirmed edition in several years, as Prêmio Sexy Hot has not since 2019.Different from a circuit that never existed at all — the ceremony is real and its six editions are well documented, it has simply stopped, which affects how recently anyone could be freshly recognised by it.
Context

Two systems, six years of ceremonies, and what came after

2003–2009

The first domestic-to-international crossovers

Monica Mattos began performing in Brazil in 2003 and extended into the American market from 2005, becoming the first Latin American performer to win AVN Female Foreign Performer of the Year in 2008 — a genuine bridge between the two systems this page later has to score separately. Olivia Del Rio's career, begun in Paris in 1994 and running through roughly 250 titles for American and French productions, and Fabiane Thompson's 2004 debut, both established the international-facing route several later performers on this page would also take.

2010–2013

Vivi Fernandez, Bruna Ferraz, and the exclusive-contract domestic route

Vivi Fernandez's 2005 exclusive Brasileirinhas contract and record-breaking debut film, and Bruna Ferraz's 2007 signing with the same company, established the fully domestic career pattern this page contrasts against the international one throughout: built entirely inside one Brazilian production relationship, with mainstream Brazilian television as the crossover destination rather than an American studio contract.

2014–2019

Prêmio Sexy Hot's six editions

The inaugural 2014 ceremony, then still named Prêmio da Indústria Pornô, crowned Fabiane Thompson and Angel Lima among its first winners. Over the following five years the ceremony became the organising structure for nearly every domestic-career performer on this page: Patrícia Kimberly's ten wins, Elisa Sanches's Revelação-to-flagship run, Dread Hot's three-category 2019 sweep, Emme White's four-category 2017 sweep, Aline Rios's 2016 win and Bárbara Costa's 2016 titles all sit inside this six-year window. Its 2020 edition was postponed for the covid-19 pandemic, and no source available for this page confirms a subsequent ceremony.

2015–2026

The international AVN/XBIZ generation, and life after the ceremony stopped

Gina Valentina's 2015 debut and subsequent Penthouse Pet of the Year (2018) and AVN/XBIZ VR wins (2020), and Jessie Rogers's 2023 return to performing after a decade away, both happened after Prêmio Sexy Hot's last confirmed edition — meaning the domestic circuit's dormancy has coincided with, rather than caused, continued recognition on the international side. Meanwhile several Sexy Hot-era performers — Bárbara Costa, Fernandinha Fernandez, Dread Hot, Mel Fire — moved into digital content creation, podcasting and streaming once the ceremony that had recognised them stopped running new editions, a pattern this page's Longevity and Influence pillars are built to register even where no fresh award exists to measure it.

Editorial process

What this page does not claim

This page ranks eighteen performers with sourcing that clears this programme's standard. It does not claim they are the only eighteen Brazilians who have ever appeared in adult film, and it does not claim the top-three spread below is a decisive verdict rather than the near-tie the numbers actually show.

Stated directly rather than smoothed over

TT
The top-three spread is just over one index point

Patrícia Kimberly, Monica Mattos and Gina Valentina score within a little over one point of each other even after this page's re-weighting. That is reported as what it is — a close result shaped by which award record happened to be deepest in which half of the field this particular year — rather than overstated as a clear first-place case.

NC
Nego Catra is ranked elsewhere, not on this page

Nego Catra, a Brazilian-born performer with a documented preto self-identification in a sourced interview, is ranked on this site's Ebony pornstars and BBC pornstars pages rather than here, where this page is scoped to female performers specifically. He is named here so a reader looking for Brazil's clearest documented case of racial self-identification in this industry can find him.

RI
Race is undocumented for sixteen of eighteen entries

Beyond Giovana Bombom (described, not self-identified, as negra by regional press) and Nego Catra (ranked elsewhere), no performer on this page has a sourced racial self-identification. This page states that gap directly in dataNotice rather than building a page around a population it cannot document, or guessing from a name, stage persona or photograph.

Background

Why domestic and international careers are scored differently here

Two systems, one now dormant, are the entire reason this page's pillar weights depart from this site's default rubric.

Prêmio Sexy Hot ran six editions and has been dormant since 2019

Brazil's one sustained domestic adult-industry award ran from 2014 to 2019, six editions under two names (Prêmio da Indústria Pornô, then Prêmio Sexy Hot). Its 2020 edition was postponed for the covid-19 pandemic and no source available for this page confirms a seventh has taken place. Roughly half this roster's entire award record sits inside that closed six-year window.

Brasileirinhas as the recurring domestic studio name

The great majority of this page's domestic-career performers — Vivi Fernandez, Bruna Ferraz, Monica Mattos, Aline Rios among them — built their careers through an exclusive or near-exclusive Brasileirinhas contract, documented on Wikipedia as Brazil's largest adult-film producer. No comparably documented second domestic studio appears in this page's sourcing at similar scale.

The international route runs through American and European systems only

Gina Valentina, Jessie Rogers and Priscilla Sol built their recognition entirely through AVN, XBIZ, Penthouse, NightMoves and France's Venus Award, with no Brazilian domestic credit on record for any of the three. Their careers are Brazilian by birthplace and nowhere else structurally.

A documented racial-representation gap, stated rather than filled

A dedicated check of every performer on this page found sourced racial self-identification or press description for exactly two of eighteen: Giovana Bombom (described by regional outlet DOL, not self-identified) and Nego Catra, ranked on a different page. In a country where most people are Black or pardo, that is a documentation failure this page states directly rather than filling in from a name, stage persona or photograph.

What this page does not claim

Not that these eighteen are the only Brazilian-born adult performers of note, and not that the top-three placement is a settled verdict rather than a near-tie this page reports honestly. It is a claim about what current sourcing supports, scored under a rubric built specifically to avoid rewarding proximity to a foreign award body over documented Brazilian careers built without one.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Who is the best Brazilian pornstar?

Patrícia Kimberly ranks first on our index, on the strength of ten individually documented Prêmio Sexy Hot wins between 2015 and 2019, including a four-category sweep in 2016 and the ceremony's flagship title in 2017. Monica Mattos and Gina Valentina rank second and third, within just over one index point.

Is there a Brazilian porn industry?

Yes, a genuinely domestic one, built chiefly around the production company Brasileirinhas and, historically, recognised through the Prêmio Sexy Hot award ceremony. That ceremony ran six editions from 2014 to 2019 and has had no confirmed edition since its 2020 postponement.

What is Prêmio Sexy Hot?

Brazil's only sustained domestic adult-industry award, run under the name Prêmio da Indústria Pornô at its 2014 debut and as Prêmio Sexy Hot through 2019. It is currently dormant: its 2020 edition was postponed for the pandemic and no seventh edition is confirmed in available sourcing.

Why do some Brazilian pornstars have American awards and others don't?

Because this field splits into two populations that built careers through different systems. Gina Valentina, Jessie Rogers and Priscilla Sol entered American or European studios directly and never built a Brazilian domestic credit. Bruna Ferraz, Vivi Fernandez and most of the rest of this roster built their entire careers inside Brazil's own industry, recognised only by Prêmio Sexy Hot.

Which Brazilian pornstar has won the most awards?

Patrícia Kimberly holds the deepest documented record: ten individually attributed Prêmio Sexy Hot wins between 2015 and 2019, including a four-category sweep in 2016 and the flagship Melhor Atriz Hétero title in 2017.

Who was the first Brazilian performer to win a major American award?

Monica Mattos, who won AVN's Female Foreign Performer of the Year in 2008 — the first Latin American performer of any nationality to take that title, after a 2007 nomination in the same category.

Is Nego Catra on this list?

No. Nego Catra is ranked on this site's Ebony pornstars and BBC pornstars pages, since this page is scoped to female performers. He is named in this page's corrections section because he is the clearest documented case of racial self-identification among Brazilian-born performers this research found.

Why does this page describe Giovana Bombom's race so carefully?

Because the only source describing her race is a 2019 report from regional outlet DOL, which used the word negra in its own reporting. That is the outlet's description, not a quote of her using a racial self-descriptor herself, and this page states that distinction directly rather than treating the two as equivalent.

What happened to Aline Rios?

She won Revelação do Ano Hétero at the 2016 Prêmio Sexy Hot for Pornô Fantasy 2. She was killed in a stabbing in Duque de Caxias, Rio de Janeiro, dying of her injuries on 1 September 2020 at 28; mainstream Brazilian press reported no arrest at the time.

How often is this list updated?

A full re-audit every six months, plus an award-pillar update within fourteen days of any confirmed AVN, XBIZ or Prêmio Sexy Hot ceremony result. If a seventh Prêmio Sexy Hot edition is ever confirmed, that triggers an immediate correction to this page's dormancy framing rather than waiting for the next scheduled audit.

Methodology · The Pornstar Ranked Performer Index v3.0

How we ranked these performers

A 100-point composite built from six weighted pillars. Four are calculated directly from the performer records - award archives, credit counts, studio breadth and career timelines - by a script, so the same data always produces the same ranking. Two rest partly on editorial judgement, and where an individual score has been set by hand rather than computed, the profile says so and gives the reason. Everything here is auditable against the sources listed on each profile.

Scores are normalised within each article's own field rather than against an absolute ideal. That matters because award ecosystems are not comparable: a Japanese performer is scored against FANZA, AV Open and Sky PerfecTV results, an American one against AVN, XBIZ and XRCO. Ranking them on one absolute scale would be meaningless. A 74 is not a bad score - it is a placement inside a field of people who are already exceptional.

⚖︎

Weights for this category. Recognition falls to 18% from this site's default 25%, and Body of Work rises to 24% and Longevity to 20%. The reason is structural, and it is the whole argument of this page: the eighteen performers ranked here split into two populations that never competed for the same prizes. Gina Valentina entered the American industry directly at eighteen with no Brazilian domestic credit at all and won AVN and XBIZ titles against American and international fields; Jessie Rogers left Brazil at six years old and built her award record entirely through NightMoves and Adult Empire; Priscilla Sol's entire career happened inside France's Marc Dorcel system. Bruna Ferraz, by contrast, never worked for a single foreign studio in her life, and Vivi Fernandez's entire filmography sits inside one exclusive Brasileirinhas contract. Scoring Recognition at this site's default weight would measure proximity to American and European award bodies and present it as Brazilian merit, which is a different and narrower claim. The only sustained Brazilian-specific award, Prêmio Sexy Hot, ran six editions from 2014 to 2019 before its 2020 edition was postponed and no seventh edition has been confirmed since — a genuinely dormant circuit, not a thin one, and half this roster's recognition window closed with it. Body of Work and Longevity rise because they are the two things that keep being measurable after an award circuit stops running: Patrícia Kimberly's ten individually documented Sexy Hot wins and Fernandinha Fernandez's fourteen-year career are exactly the kind of sustained record this re-weighting is built to credit. Demand falls to 8% because not one of the eighteen performers on this page has an independently measured brand-search figure — at default weight it would have simply repeated Recognition under a different name and doubled the very distortion the other two adjustments exist to correct.

The second thing worth knowing is that the re-weighting does not produce a tidy result, and this page states that plainly rather than hiding it. After the adjustment, the index returns a domestic-circuit performer at the top — Patrícia Kimberly, on the strength of ten individually documented Prêmio Sexy Hot wins — with Monica Mattos and Gina Valentina close behind across a spread of just over one index point. That is not a verdict that domestic careers are simply better; it is what a page can honestly say when the deepest single award record (ten ceremony wins, an AVN Foreign Performer of the Year title, a Penthouse Pet of the Year title) happens to be close enough across both halves of the field that a single point separates first from third.

The third fact shapes almost everything else on this page: the only sustained, Brazil-specific adult-industry award, Prêmio Sexy Hot, ran six editions from 2014 through 2019, its 2020 edition was postponed, and no source confirms a seventh has happened since. Roughly half the performers below built their entire recognition record inside that six-year window and have had no domestic ceremony to be recognised by since. That is stated in the direct answer, the industry section, the FAQ and the data notice below — not because it needs repeating four times, but because it is the single fact a reader needs before any of the individual placements make sense.

⚠︎

Before you publish this page: Documentation quality splits along the same domestic/international line as the ranking itself: performers who worked with American or European studios generally have Wikidata and, in a few cases, English Wikipedia coverage; performers whose careers ran entirely through Brazil's domestic industry are sourced almost exclusively to Portuguese Wikipedia. Racial self-identification or press description exists for exactly two of the eighteen performers on this page (Giovana Bombom, described by regional press; and, on a separate page, Nego Catra, self-described). No claim about race is made for any other performer. Prêmio Sexy Hot has had no confirmed edition since 2019; this page will be corrected immediately if that changes. Verify anything marked medium or low confidence before publishing publicly.

Industry Recognition
18%
Computed from records

Awards, nominations and Hall of Fame status.

How it is scored

Calculated by script from the award arrays on each performer record. A Hall of Fame induction is the heaviest single signal, then a Performer of the Year win, then a category win, then any other competitive win, then a nomination at roughly a quarter weight. Lifetime Achievement honours are scored as ordinary wins rather than as Performer of the Year, because Hall of Fame induction already captures career recognition and double-counting it visibly distorted an earlier edition of our all-time list.

Awards are the only independently-audited quality signal this industry produces. They are voted by peers and press, their archives are public, and they are the one input a reader can check without taking our word for anything.

Body of Work
24%
Computed from records

Credit volume, studio breadth and niche-defining titles.

How it is scored

Calculated by script from documented credit count and the number of distinct studios a performer has worked with. Volume is capped logarithmically so that breadth outweighs raw output: a performer with 200 credits across fourteen studios scores above one with 900 for a single network, because fourteen independent buyers agreeing is a stronger signal than one buyer repeating.

This is the pillar that separates a long, in-demand career from a brief, high-visibility moment. Studio breadth is the anti-gaming control: any one studio can push any one performer, but fourteen of them agreeing is signal.

Audience Demand
8%
Blind-scored panel

Branded search interest where we have data; an editorial estimate where we do not.

How it is scored

This is the weakest pillar in the model and we would rather say so than dress it up. Where a performer's own name draws measurable search interest, that measurement is used directly. At present that covers a minority of the performers we have scored. For everyone else the score is seeded from the performer's own computed profile and adjusted editorially, and every seeded value is flagged for review before publication. Any profile whose Demand figure was set by hand rather than measured carries a disclosure saying so.

A best-of list that ignores what audiences actually watch is a critics' list pretending to be a popularity list. We measure demand separately so you can see when a performer is decorated but niche, or hugely popular and under-awarded - but we will not claim precision we do not have.

Craft & Screen Presence
15%
Blind-scored panel

Performance quality, range and screen presence. An editorial judgement.

How it is scored

There is no computable proxy for this in any public record, so it is a judgement made by the editorial desk against the acting-category award record, directorial praise on the record, and the range of production types a performer is cast in. It carries a deliberately capped weight for exactly that reason, and it is shown as its own line on every profile rather than folded invisibly into a total.

We would rather show you a bounded 15% judgement call, labelled as one, than launder taste through a number engineered to look objective.

Longevity & Consistency
20%
Computed from records

Years active, output consistency and successful career restarts.

How it is scored

Calculated by script from documented debut year to the most recent verified release, adjusted for gaps. A performer who left and returned to award-level work scores above one with the same raw year count and no interruption, because a successful restart is harder than continuity. Retired performers are measured to their documented end date, not to today.

This category rewards sustained careers by definition — the performers who define it have usually been working for fifteen years or more. Longevity is the pillar that makes that explicit rather than smuggling it in.

Influence & Crossover
15%
Blind-scored panel

Mainstream reach, business ownership, directing and advocacy.

How it is scored

Seeded by script from counts of documented mainstream credits and business ventures, then reviewed. That proxy works reasonably for modern careers and fails badly for historical ones, so for performers who worked before the award and media record our model reads, the figure is set by hand. Every such case is disclosed on the profile.

Some performers changed what the job is, not just how well it is done. Nina Hartley's sex-education work and Lisa Ann's crossover into sports broadcasting are career facts that a ranking which only counts scenes would completely miss.

The six-step process

1

Define the field

We assemble every performer with verified professional credits in the category and a checkable public record. Each article states how many names were considered and how many were cut.

2

Pull the records

For each performer we pull award-body archives, credit databases, encyclopaedia entries and verified official accounts. Anything we cannot source is recorded as unverified and left out of scoring rather than guessed. Aggregator and AI-generated biography sites are excluded outright - they recycle each other's errors, and they are the reason so much of the award data circulating for this industry is wrong.

3

Compute the record-derived pillars

Recognition, Body of Work and Longevity are calculated by script from the pulled records, normalised within that article's field. No human sets these numbers.

4

Set the judgement pillars

Craft is an editorial score. Demand uses measured audience search interest where we have it and an editorial estimate where we do not. Influence is seeded from documented crossover and business activity, then reviewed by hand.

5

Weight, rank, and sanity-check

Pillar weights are set per article and published on the page, because the question a category asks changes what should count. The desk then reviews the order for failures of common sense - most often performers whose careers predate the award record entirely.

6

Disclose every intervention

Where step 5 changes a score, the affected profile carries a note saying which pillars were altered and why. Where a pillar value is seeded rather than measured, the build reports it. We publish the corrections log rather than editing silently.

✕ Who we exclude, and why

  • Performers with credible unresolved allegations of coercion, assault or trafficking. A ranking is an endorsement of a professional record, and we will not extend one where consent is in question.
  • Anyone whose age at the time of any listed credit cannot be independently verified as 18 or over.
  • Performers who have publicly asked to be left off editorial rankings. Removal requests are honoured without argument and without requiring a reason.
  • Content, imagery or links sourced from leaks, hacks or non-consensual distribution — regardless of how widely circulated it is elsewhere.

△ Where this model is weak

  • Demand is our weakest inputWe have measured audience search interest for only a minority of the performers scored so far. The rest carry editorial estimates. This is the pillar most likely to move as our measurement of audience demand widens.
  • Award archives favour recent, American productionAVN, XBIZ and XRCO are US bodies founded in the 1980s and 1990s. Performers who worked earlier, or outside the United States, are structurally disadvantaged by the Recognition pillar. We correct for it by hand and disclose each correction, which is a fix but not a solution.
  • Craft is a judgement, and judgements varyOne informed desk scoring against the acting-award record is better than asserting an order with no reasoning, but it is still a view. It is capped at 15% and shown separately for that reason.
  • Pre-2000 credit counts are unreliableOlder releases are documented far less consistently than modern ones, which understates the output of long careers. The Longevity pillar partly offsets this; it does not fully correct it.
  • Normalisation means scores are not cross-comparableAn 88 on our Japanese ranking and an 88 on our MILF ranking are not the same achievement. Each score positions a performer within her own field, and comparing across articles is not a use these numbers support.

Corrections and update log

Factual corrections are made within 48 hours of verification and logged, dated and described at the foot of the article. Changes to the scoring model itself are logged the same way - when we found that Lifetime Achievement honours were being scored as Performer of the Year wins, we published the fix and the resulting rank changes rather than quietly re-running the build. Cadence: Full re-audit every six months; award pillars updated within 14 days of each major awards ceremony. Next full audit: 2027-02-20.

What changed in this edition

  • First edition. Eighteen Brazilian-born performers scored on the Pornstar Ranked Performer Index v2.1, re-weighted for a category split between two award systems that never competed against each other.
  • Recognition cut to 18% and Body of Work raised to 24%, because the field splits between American/European award-body careers and a domestic Prêmio Sexy Hot circuit that has run no confirmed edition since 2019.
  • Giovana Bombom's entry states a 2019 press description of her as the only Black nominee in her category that year as the reporting outlet's own words, not her self-identification — consistent with this programme's standard for race documentation.
  • The top-three spread — Patrícia Kimberly, Monica Mattos, Gina Valentina — sits just over one index point. This page states that spread directly rather than presenting a near-tie as a clear verdict.
  • Zero performers on this page have an independently measured brand-search figure; the Demand pillar is scored at reduced weight accordingly rather than left to silently double-count Recognition.
