C.J. Laing

Career

Working under her main stage name and several others — Jessie Savage, Gwen Starr, Chris Jackson among them — Laing appeared in more than fifty hardcore films and short segments concentrated entirely inside the 1970s. She said of her approach to the work, "I purposely would not act, I despised the people in these films that said they were actors." The XRCO Hall of Fame inducted her in 1989 as a "Film Pioneer," and the AVN Hall of Fame followed in 2005.

Signature: A double Hall of Fame induction built on volume inside a single decade rather than any single marquee title, with a credit count that outpaces most of this list despite an active period of well under ten years.
