Teresa Orlowski
Career
Born in Wrocław and trained as a veterinary assistant before emigrating to West Germany, Teresa Orlowski debuted in 1983 in Foxy Lady, directed by her then-husband Hans Moser, and became one of the biggest names in European adult film through the decade. She and Moser co-founded the Hanover-based production company VTO, and she later starred in early interactive-media releases, including a 1994 CD-ROM title, well ahead of most of the industry’s move online. She appeared in the German band Die Ärzte’s 1989 music video, a mainstream crossover unusual for the period, and later retired to Marbella, Spain. No award from the Venus or Eroticline ceremonies is documented against her name — both were founded after her peak years.
Signature: One of the defining names of 1980s European adult film, and a case study in this list’s central limitation: Germany’s domestic award circuit did not exist yet when her career peaked.
