Michaela Schaffrath

Career

Trained as a nurse, Michaela Schaffrath entered adult film under the stage name Gina Wild after posing for a German magazine, winning the Venus Award for Best New Starlet in 1999 and Best German Actress the following year. She retired from adult performing in 2000 to build a mainstream television-acting career under her own name, appearing on TV total, In aller Freundschaft and Wer wird Millionär?, and in 2005 sold the rights to the "Gina Wild" name and brand entirely, a deliberate and unusually formal separation from her earlier career.

Signature: Two Venus Award wins in consecutive years, followed by a rare, formally completed exit — she sold the rights to her own former stage name rather than simply stopping using it.

Not yet confirmed:

• Debut year corrected to 1999 on German Wikipedia, which documents a January 1999–2000 span and roughly 13 films; English Wikipedia (this record’s other source) gives no start year at all, so the previously recorded 1996 figure was unsupported and has been removed
