Serena
Career
Serena Czarnecki appeared in more than 110 films between 1975 and 1988, was featured in a 1978 Playboy spread on top adult performers, and had an uncredited role in Paul Schrader’s mainstream feature Hardcore (1979). She was one of the earliest XRCO Hall of Fame inductees of any era, before AVN’s own Hall of Fame existed. Since retiring she has worked as a painter, writer, poet and textile artist in the San Francisco Bay Area, publishing the memoirs Bright Lights, Lonely Nights (2014) and Polk Street (2021).
Signature: One of the earliest XRCO Hall of Fame inductees of any era, and one of very few performers on this list with a second career as a published author decades on.
