Lisa De Leeuw

Career

De Leeuw appeared in over 200 films through the 1980s and won four competitive supporting-actress awards across two bodies — CAFA in 1981 and 1982, AVN in 1985 and 1986 — one of the deepest competitive records in this category. Her current status cannot be responsibly stated: a widely repeated account holds that she died of AIDS-related complications in November 1993, but her own Wikipedia entry currently lists her as a living person and recounts her publicly denying death rumours that circulated while she was still working. We have not been able to resolve the contradiction and are not willing to guess.

Signature: Four competitive supporting-actress wins across two award bodies is one of the deepest competitive records in this list — and no source, including her own Wikipedia page, agrees on her current status.

Not yet confirmed:

• Death status disputed: a 2003 publication reports she died of AIDS-related complications on 11 November 1993, aged thirty-four, but Wikipedia currently categorises her as a living person with no death date given; this article makes no claim about her current status
• AVN Hall of Fame induction year not documented
• Hair colour added 2026-08-22 from an unreferenced Wikidata statement; her own Wikipedia article lists "Lil’ Redhead" among her stage aliases but does not state hair colour directly in infobox or body text
