Cousteau’s adult-film career ran barely three years, from 1978 to 1981, but produced Pretty Peaches, one of the era’s most enduring titles, and a Best Actress win from the Adult Film Association of America the year after its release. She had an earlier, uncredited mainstream role as Deborah Clearbranch in the 1974 women’s-prison film Caged Heat.
