Joey Silvera

Career

Silvera began performing in San Francisco in 1974 and appeared in more than 1,000 films and videos before moving into directing in the early 1990s, working first for Devil’s Film and then for John Stagliano’s Evil Angel. His directing work, particularly in gonzo and transsexual-focused releases, continued to win XBIZ recognition as recently as 2015, more than four decades after he started.

Signature: He debuted in 1974 and was still winning industry awards for directing forty years later — the longest continuously working career in this list.
