The daughter of dancer-actress Jyothi Lakshmi and a cameraman, she debuted in R. Sarathkumar’s Ragasiya Police in 1995 and worked through 2001, remembered chiefly for item numbers and supporting roles in Ullathai Allitha and Azhagana Naatkal, performing alongside Vijay, Ajith Kumar, Prabhu and R. Sarathkumar. She retired from acting after marriage. Her mother died in Chennai in August 2016.
