Career
Born Sulochana Devi, she was introduced to Malayalam cinema by director K. G. George at thirteen and began her film career as a lead actress in mainstream productions. As an adult she moved into item numbers, working across Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Oriya cinema, with more than 110 individually listed Tamil credits including Sivappu Malli (1981), Thanga Magan (1983) and Alai Osai (1985). She later moved into Tamil television, appearing in Sun TV serials including Thangam, Muthaaram and Deivamagal; her daughter Abhinayashree is also an actress.
