B. Ramya Sri began acting in 1997 and worked across softcore and B-movie productions as well as mainstream Telugu cinema, where she is best known. She later moved into directing, screenwriting and producing. She received a Nandi Special Jury Award in 2013 for O Malli, a film she both directed and starred in, playing a tribal woman. Her career spans six language industries.
