Andrea True
Career
True appeared in more than fifty hardcore films through the 1970s and into the mid-1980s before reinventing herself as a recording artist: her 1976 disco single "More, More, More", released as the Andrea True Connection, reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the US disco chart, and returned to wider attention in 1999 when sampled by the group Len. She later worked as a substance abuse counsellor and astrologer and said publicly that she wanted to be remembered as a recording artist rather than a performer. She died in 2011 from heart failure.
Signature: No adult-industry award of any kind, but a genuine Billboard top-five hit under her own musical project — the single furthest and most successful mainstream crossover on this list.
