Rene Bond
Career
Bond began in softcore exploitation pictures produced by Harry Novak before moving into hardcore production in the early 1970s, ultimately appearing in more than 80 films and loops across one of the busiest schedules of the era. She was among the first adult performers to have breast implant surgery, saying in a 1977 interview that it brought her more film work, and she ran a mail-order photograph business alongside her screen career through the mid-1970s. She retired from performing in the late 1970s and was inducted into both the XRCO and AVN Halls of Fame. She died in 1996, at 45, from cirrhosis.
Signature: Double Hall of Fame induction built on volume and reach rather than a single marquee title — more than 80 credits in barely a decade, at the height of the era before AVN’s own competitive awards existed to record it.
