Career
Bauer, also credited as Pia Snow and Kim Bittner, moved from adult-magazine modelling into film after being discovered by director Fred Olen Ray, and became one of the genre’s three defining "scream queens" alongside Linnea Quigley and Brinke Stevens, working steadily across low-budget horror and erotic comedy from the early 1980s onward. Her career and the wider scream-queen scene are the subject of the documentary Screaming in High Heels: The Rise and Fall of the Scream Queen Era (2011) and a 2020 reunion follow-up.
Signature: Named, on the record by film historians, as one of exactly three performers who defined an entire subgenre of low-budget erotic horror — not a marginal figure in it.
