Debora Caprioglio
Career
Caprioglio’s breakout role was the title part in Tinto Brass’s Paprika (1991), an adaptation of the same source novel John Willie’s Sweet Gwendoline drew on, made when she was 22. Two years earlier, at 20, she had appeared opposite Klaus Kinski in Kinski Paganini (1989), an arthouse credit from a genuinely difficult and demanding director outside the erotic genre entirely. She moved into Italian television and reality programming from 2005 onward.
Signature: A Kinski arthouse credit two years before her defining Tinto Brass role — evidence her early casting was not confined to the erotic genre.
