Halina Perez
Career
Born Vanessa May-Anne D. Uri in Santa Maria, Laguna, Perez debuted in the film Alipin ng Tukso in 2000 at 18, working through the Philippines' "bold film" genre — a legally distributed, MTRCB-classified successor to the 1970s bomba wave — across titles including Ikapitong Gloria (2001), Amorseko: Damong Ligaw (2001), Balat Sibuyas (2002), Kasiping (2002) and Kiskisan (2003), plus a 2003 role in the television anthology series Maalaala Mo Kaya. On 4 March 2004 she died at 22 when the van she was travelling in, returning from a Konica photo store opening, collided head-on with a truck at the Quezon–Camarines Norte boundary.
Signature: A four-year filmography in the genre most often conflated with hardcore pornography under this keyword, cut off entirely by her death at 22 rather than by retirement.
