Haley Paige
Career
Born Maryam Irene Haley in Chihuahua, Mexico, Paige moved to San Diego, California at age 12 and held dual Mexican-American citizenship. She entered adult film at 18 in 2000 while working at Blockbuster, won the XRCO's Unsung Siren award in 2005, and moved into directing in May 2006 with Virgin Territory for Smash Pictures. She died on 21 August 2007 in King City, California, at age 25; a rumor of a heroin overdose reported by AVN was not confirmed by the Monterey County coroner's office, which found no marks indicating that cause, though it could not rule out overdose by inhalation.
Signature: One of the few performers in this set who moved from performing into directing within her own lifetime, releasing her first title as director the year after her XRCO Unsung Siren win.
