Domonique Simone
Career
Simone won a scholarship to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising at seventeen before answering a modelling advertisement that led her into adult film in 1989. She built an eighteen-year career of over 200 films, appeared in the 1994 mainstream comedy Fear of a Black Hat, and featured in music videos for Snoop Dogg’s "Murder Was the Case," Brian McKnight’s "Keep It on the Down Low" and Montell Jordan’s "Something 4 the Honeyz." The AVN Hall of Fame inducted her in 2007; Wikipedia’s XRCO Hall of Fame list places her induction in 2026. She published a memoir, A Star Is Porn, in 2023.
Signature: Two Hall of Fame inductions nineteen years apart, from a performer whose mainstream visibility ran through three different music videos rather than a single crossover moment.
