Dona Speir
Career
Speir, Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for March 1984, trained at The Actors Workshop in Orange County and became the lead of Andy Sidaris’s "Bullets, Bombs and Babes" action-softcore series from its first entry, Malibu Express (1985), through Hard Hunted (1992) — seven films across eight years, longer than any other performer in the ensemble. The series combined bikini-clad secret-agent plots with real stunt and gun-handling sequences, shot on a low budget for direct theatrical and home-video release, and Paste magazine named the fourth entry, Hard Ticket to Hawaii, "the best B-movie of all time" in a 2014 retrospective.
Signature: The only performer who anchored the Sidaris franchise from its very first film to its middle run — the "Barbara Bach" of a series most people know only from screenshots.
