Career
The Justice Department describes Garcia as an adult film performer and producer who worked as a recruiter, producer and actor for the GirlsDoPorn and GirlsDoToys websites from about 2013 to 2017. He pleaded guilty in December 2020 to conspiracy to commit sex trafficking by force, fraud and coercion, admitting that he and the site’s owner Michael Pratt were the operation’s two lead recruiters; that they placed fake modelling advertisements and used front companies; that women who hesitated were reassured by paid references; and that participants were threatened with lawsuits, cancelled flights and publication if they tried to stop. He was sentenced in June 2021 to 20 years in prison in the Southern District of California and ordered, with his co-defendants, to pay approximately $18 million in restitution.
