Career
Teofil Brank performed in gay adult films as Jarec Wentworth. In March 2015 the FBI arrested him in a sting operation after he demanded a further $1 million from Donald Burns, chairman of the internet telephony company MagicJack, threatening to tell his social-media followers that Burns had been paying him to procure male escorts; Burns had already given him about $500,000 and an Audi R8. A loaded revolver was recovered from his vehicle. A federal jury in Los Angeles convicted him in July 2015 on six extortion-related counts, and on 27 October 2015 he was sentenced to 70 months in prison and ordered to pay roughly $500,000 in restitution. The Ninth Circuit later affirmed the conviction and the sentencing calculation.
