Ron Hightower
Career
Hightower worked as a performer from 1992 to 1996 before moving into directing, a shift that produced an unusually direct mainstream crossover: he directed music videos for Above The Law, Gang Starr and New Child, and for Tupac Shakur's "How Do U Want It" — the same 1996 video that connects several performers on our ebony pornstars ranking. His own Wikipedia biography carries a maintenance notice flagging insufficient citation, and no award of any kind, from any body, could be confirmed for him.
Signature: No award record of any kind — stated here rather than papered over — carried by a specific, documented mainstream-directing crossover into hip-hop music video work that few other performers on this list can match.
