Jack Napier

Career

Of documented African-American and Puerto Rican descent, Napier began performing in 1999 and directing the following year, building a catalogue of over 350 films by his own account before a motorcycle accident ended his career in 2015. His franchise took AVN's Best Interracial Series award three years running, 2009 through 2011 — a directly on-category, juried competitive win rather than a Hall of Fame honorific — and the Urban X Awards inducted him into its Hall of Fame in 2011. He signed an exclusive two-year performing-and-directing contract with Vouyer Media in 2007.

Signature: The only performer on this list with a three-year run of a genuinely competitive, category-specific AVN win rather than a Hall of Fame or newcomer honour — earned as director and producer of his own franchise as much as in front of the camera.
