Judy Minx was born in Paris in January 1989 and is of Tunisian and Algerian descent, a fact reported in a 2011 Libération profile of her. She became a pornographic actress in 2007, shortly after turning eighteen, and worked mainly in independent, queer and feminist production rather than the commercial French studio system — Emilie Jouvet’s Too Much Pussy! Feminist Sluts, a Queer X Show (2011) and The Final Girl (2010) among them. She identifies as a sex worker, a queer person and a feminist activist, campaigns for sex workers’ rights and is close to STRASS, the French sex workers’ union, and has run sex-education workshops. She has been covered at length in the French national press, including Libération, Le Figaro, Têtu and Rue89.
