Song Zhi-xian
Career
Born in Kaohsiung on 30 March 1976. He became nationally known in Taiwan in 2003 for the domestically produced film 台灣水電工 ("Taiwan Plumber"), opposite the performer credited as Xuanxuan, and was prosecuted for it: Apple Daily reported the indictment on 7 August 2003 and, on 30 January 2004, that he had been sentenced to five months’ imprisonment and had paid a commutation fine of NT$166,800 rather than serve it. That is the clearest documented case of Taiwan’s Criminal Code Article 235 being enforced against a performer rather than a distributor. Work in Taiwan dried up afterwards, and Apple Daily reported on 15 November 2005 that he had gone to Japan to work in the gay adult-video industry; his Japanese credits run from 欲望の虎 (V JET, 2004) through アジア航楽紀行 (Prism, 2013), across the labels DNA, KO Company, MEC and Prism. ETtoday returned to him on 15 June 2015 under the headline that the first Taiwanese man to go to Japan as a performer is someone nobody knows about.
