Sofia Gucci
Career
Born Margareta Maria Scorpie in Hunedoara, Romania, she relocated to Italy with her family at around age 10, growing up between Gallipoli and Naples, and debuted in Italian adult film in 2006 under the stage name "Sofia Gucci." In 2012 she changed her professional name to "Sofia Cucci" after a complaint from the Gucci fashion house. Across a career of roughly 237 IAFD-documented films she worked with Italian industry figures including Franco Trentalance, Rocco Siffredi, Milly D'Abbraccio and Vittoria Risi, and also crossed into Italian mainstream television, appearing in the miniseries Moana (2009) and Il peccato e la vergogna (2010). She announced her retirement from performing at the end of 2015 but returned to producing content on her own website in 2023.
Signature: A Romanian-born performer whose entire public career was built and branded in Italy — down to a stage-name change forced by a real trademark dispute with the Gucci fashion house, a detail that sets her apart from every other Romanian name on this list.
