Manu Pluton
Career
Pluton won both the tall category and the overall title at Mr. France in 1965, the same year he won Europe Mr. Apollo and placed 6th in the tall division at the NABBA Amateur Mr. Universe. After relocating to the United States in the early 1980s he became NABBA’s Southern California chairman and won the Masters National Championship in 1982. Between those two competitive peaks he built a French film career beginning with director Jacques Scandelari’s Beyond Love and Evil (1971), continuing through several Serge Korber productions in the mid-1970s, and running through Eric de Winter’s 1976-shot, 1978-released Malefices pornos, a film that drew censorship criticism on release. A separate French Wikipedia article corroborates the 1965 Mr. France and Mr. Europe titles and the film career, though it is a short, single-source stub in its own right.
Signature: A national bodybuilding title in 1965 and a second national championship in 1982, with a thirteen-year French film career running in the gap between them.
