Brett Mycles
Career
Born Robert Christopher Sager, Mycles began competing in amateur bodybuilding in 1999, appearing at the Arnold Classic and winning the overall title at the NPC Aloha Muscle & Fitness Bodybuilding Contest in Hawaii while placing fourth in his weight class. In 2002 he was named Male Fitness Model of the Year by MuscleWeb.com and appeared in mainstream fitness publications including Muscle & Fitness and the International Male catalogue. He ran his own online personal-training business, RobSager.com, offering exercise routines and nutritional guidance directly to subscribers, alongside a two-year adult-film career for Jet Set Productions (2000–2001) under the name Brett Mycles, which drew a 2002 GayVN nomination for Best Solo Performance. He later moved into independent escort work and died on 25 February 2007 in Las Vegas, aged 29, of congenital heart failure; a Toledo, Ohio funeral-home obituary notice independently confirms his death date and describes him as "a fitness model and a body builder for several years," survived by his wife Lori and his parents and sisters.
Signature: The clearest double case in this field — a genuine bodybuilding-contest win and a self-run personal-training business, running at the same time as his film career rather than before or after it.
