Luana Borgia
Career
Born Luana Perdon in Seveso, she began as a model, competing in Miss Italia (1988) and Miss Mondo (1989), and attempted mainstream cinema before moving into adult film in the early 1990s, where Italian press nicknamed her the "Duchess of hardcore." She won the Impulse d'Oro as best European hardcore actress in 1994. She announced her retirement around 2000–2001 but returned briefly in 2009 to work with director Mario Salieri. Away from film she worked an erotic telephone chat-line, released the CD album Save Your Love (2003–2004), modelled with the Creative Models agency, performed at the Festival di Sanscemo in 1995, and stood unsuccessfully as a mayoral candidate in Taranto in 2011.
