Harry S. Morgan
Career
Born Michael Schey in Essen, Harry S. Morgan trained in photography at Folkwang University of the Arts before entering adult film direction in 1988, building a long career as a series director for Videorama and winning the Venus Award for direction three times, in 1997, 2001 and 2004. He also directed the 1991 mainstream thriller Pommes Rot-Weiß, discovered performers including Gina Wild and Vivian Schmitt, and worked as an on-camera interviewer, conducting pre- and post-scene discussions with performers — an unusually journalistic approach for the genre. A 2007 Eroticline award for outstanding achievement is documented as subsequently returned, and is not counted here. He died on 30 April 2011 in Düsseldorf.
Signature: The only director ranked on this list in his own right, with three Venus Award wins across three different decades of German adult-film production.
