Alia Janine
Career
Alia Janine entered adult film at thirty and worked across roughly four years and, by Wikipedia’s account, more than 150 films, drawing an AVN nomination for Mainstream Star of the Year in 2015. She began performing stand-up comedy in 2010, training at the Manhattan Comedy School, the Comedy Cellar, Gotham Comedy Club and the Upright Citizens Brigade, and built a touring act through her own company, Hardcore Comedy Entertainment. She went on to launch the Scatterbrains podcast and, in November 2014, founded the Misfits Podcast Network, a multi-show network she has hosted and run since.
Signature: Started stand-up while still filming rather than waiting for a clean break, then built an entire podcast network around the same public persona rather than trying to leave it behind.
