Verona van de Leur
Career
Van de Leur was a competitive artistic gymnast from age five, making her national debut at the 2000 Dutch Championships. Her gymnastics career peaked in 2002, when she won silver in the floor exercise at the World Championships and silver medals in the team, all-around and vault events at the European Championships, earning her the Dutch Sportswoman of the Year title that year. She retired from gymnastics in 2008 and, after a 2011 conviction for blackmail resulting in a 72-day prison sentence, began performing in adult webcam shows before moving into adult film later that year, running her own website of original content. She retired from performing in November 2019 and published an English-language autobiography, Simply Verona: Breaking All the Rules, in early 2020.
Signature: A Dutch Sportswoman of the Year and world-championship medalist whose second career, in adult film, followed a highly publicized fall and comeback.
