Career
Born Ángela Susana Pereda Estrada in Gijón, Estrada became one of the defining public figures of Spain’s post-Franco "destape" period, becoming the first Spanish actress to perform completely nude onstage in 1976 and appearing in "S"-rated explicit films between 1977 and 1981, the years immediately following the collapse of Francoist censorship. She was prosecuted fourteen times over a sexology advice column, lost her voting rights and had her passport withdrawn, and was barred from public office until 1988. She holds no industry award — none existed in Spain during her active years — but has continued a public career in television and music, releasing an album in 2017 and still performing a music and comedy show between Madrid and Benidorm.
