Mike Adriano

Career

Born Mikael Finquel in Marbella, Adriano emigrated to the United States and built his career and reputation almost entirely there, becoming one of the defining names in hardcore gonzo direction — long, unhurried scenes with heavy use of oral and anal content, released through his own studio, Mike Adriano Media. His American Cocksucking Sluts franchise swept three AVN category wins in 2012 and a fourth for the sequel in 2013, and he has drawn further nominations for direction at AVN, XBIZ and XRCO. Director Bonnie Rotten has credited him publicly with encouraging her own move into directing.

Signature: Born in Spain but built almost entirely in the American gonzo scene — a reminder that "Spanish-born" and "works in Spain" are not the same population on this list.

• Exact birth date cannot be pinned down: English Wikipedia’s "30 June 1980" is sourced only to IAFD, which this programme does not treat as reliable, and Spanish Wikipedia is internally inconsistent (infobox gives 20 July 1980, body text gives 20 June 1980); only the birth year 1980 and the Marbella birthplace are corroborated across both Wikipedia editions
• Exact emigration date to the United States not documented
