Marco Banderas

Career

Born Edgard Fabián Etchenique Picardo in Montevideo and raised in Barcelona, Wikipedia itself describes Banderas as "a Spanish pornographic actor of Uruguayan origin." He entered the American industry in 2005, initially under the stage name Marco Duato, and founded Hot Zone Productions in 2007. His sole confirmed AVN win came in 2014 for Best Double-Penetration Sex Scene, against roughly forty further AVN nominations across his career; a reported Urban X Award win could not be independently dated and is not counted here.

Signature: A second, less decorated case of the same pattern as Ramón Nomar: raised in Spain from childhood, and built a career in the American rather than Spanish domestic circuit.

Last audited 25 August 2026 · Wikipedia — Marco Banderas · Wikidata — Marco Banderas (award-received statement for the 2014 AVN Best Double-Penetration Sex Scene win, referenced to an archived 31st AVN Awards page rather than "imported from Wikimedia project")

Not yet confirmed:

• Reported Urban X Award win not independently dated
• Exact age at relocation to Barcelona not documented
• Wikidata’s citizenship and place-of-birth statements for him carry no real reference beyond IAFD or an unreferenced import, so nationality here still rests on the English Wikipedia article’s own wording
