Randy West
Career
Born Andrew Jay Abrams, West appeared in over 1,300 pornographic films from 1977 and moved into producing in 1993 with Randy West Productions, distributed through Evil Angel, best known for the long-running Up and Cummers series that introduced new performers. He collected fifteen AVN Best Actor nominations and Halls of Fame membership from AVN, FOXE and XRCO — inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame in 1990, confirmed on its own curated members list — and in 1993, two years after the Free Speech Coalition’s founding, received its Lifetime Achievement award, one of the earliest honours the young trade body gave out. He died in September 2024.
Signature: One of the earliest recipients of the Free Speech Coalition’s own Lifetime Achievement honour, and a rare case of a Valley-era performer who converted directly into an independent producer distributed by another studio rather than folding into one.
