Philipp Tanzer
Career
Performing as Logan McCree, Philipp Tanzer won German Mr. Leather in 2004 and built one of the most decorated gay-film records in the category, taking GayVN Performer of the Year in 2009, a Grabby Best Actor and Best Screenplay double for The Drifter the same year, GayVN Best Actor for The Visitor in 2010, and a joint XBIZ Gay Performer of the Year that year. He retired from performing around 2012 and relocated to the Scottish Highlands, where he has since worked as a men’s rights activist, featured on BBC Radio 4’s Into the Manosphere in 2019 and the BBC Three documentary I Am a Men’s Rights Activist in 2020, and stood unsuccessfully as a Scottish Family Party candidate for the Scottish Parliament in 2021 and Highland Council in 2022.
Signature: A GayVN Performer of the Year title and a same-year Grabby writing-and-acting double for a single film — the deepest single-year award haul of any performer on this list — followed by a complete, well-documented move into unrelated political advocacy.
