Marie Forsa

Career

Also credited as Maria Flynn, Marie Forså-Jansson and Maria Lynn, Marie Forså was born in Farsta, Stockholm, and built a ten-title filmography between 1972 and 1979 during the period immediately after Sweden’s 1971 removal of censorship restrictions on sexual content in film. Her work sits inside the same short domestic wave that produced Jack Bjurquist and Anita Ericsson’s filmographies: home-grown, theatrically released, and largely finished by the end of the decade rather than developing into an ongoing industry. No award, business venture or mainstream credit is documented for her.

Signature: A ten-film run squarely inside Sweden’s brief early-1970s domestic wave, sourced to the Swedish Film Institute’s own database rather than to an aggregator guess.
