Jeff Stryker
Career
Stryker debuted in 1986 and became one of the most commercially recognised names to come out of gay adult film, crossing further into mainstream culture than almost any peer: a role in the Italian feature Dirty Love (1988), the horror film After Death / Zombie 4 (1989), a German television movie opposite James Brolin (1995), a 1999 short by director Rosa von Praunheim, and a featured presence in the 2019 documentary Circus of Books. He released the country album Wild Buck in 1995 and licensed a novelty product line and action figure under his own name. He is confirmed as an AVN Hall of Fame (Video Branch) inductee, though the year of that induction is not stated on his own listing.
Signature: Reached more mainstream press coverage — including a John Waters endorsement comparing him to Cary Grant — than any other performer on this list.
