Jiz Lee
Career
Jiz Lee debuted in Shine Louise Houston’s The Crash Pad in 2005, the founding release of what became the queer-audience Crash Pad Series, and has worked since largely outside the mainstream AVN/XBIZ studio system — a Feminist Porn Award in 2010 and repeated AVN nominations for group and girl-girl scenes, without a competitive AVN or XBIZ win. Lee produces work under the name Karma Pervs to fundraise for reproductive health, LGBTQ support and sex workers’ rights, edited the 2016 essay collection Coming Out Like a Porn Star, and played a recurring role in the television series Transparent. Lee has stated directly: "My sexual orientation is queer; so is my gender," and uses they/them pronouns.
Signature: The performer whose career is most directly built on the distinction this article exists to make: work made for a queer audience, by a performer who has said, on the record, that they are queer — rather than an all-girl credit anyone else has read that meaning into.
