Helen Duval
Career
Born Bernadette Heesink-Friebel in Edam, Duval entered the adult industry as a magazine columnist writing under the name Helena, illustrating her columns with increasingly explicit self-photography before appearing in publications including Hustler, Playmen and Mayfair. She moved into film acting in 1993, adopting the stage name Helen Duval for its international appeal, and worked mainly for Swedish, German and Dutch producers over the following decade. Beyond performing, she also worked as a producer and director for her own studio, Helen Duval Entertainment. Her final screen credit was the 2003 film Ice & Fire.
Signature: One of the few performers on this list who moved from writing to modelling to acting, then to running her own production outfit.
