Career

Trouble, who is documented as genderqueer, launched Nofauxxx.com in 2002 — one of the earliest independent sites built around performers and body types the mainstream industry was not casting — and developed it into the label TROUBLEfilms, which operated until 2025. The 2009 release Roulette won the Feminist Porn Awards’ Most Deliciously Diverse Cast, a category whose existence is itself evidence of what the mainstream was not doing; Billy Castro Does The Mission took Most Tantalizing Trans Film in 2011, and QueerPorn.tv, co-run with Tina Horn, took the same ceremony’s Honoured Website award that year. Seven Minutes in Heaven: Coming Out (2009) is described as the first queer gonzo release. They completed an MFA in fine arts at the California College of the Arts in 2017 and have worked primarily as a visual artist since.

Signature: Founded an independent production and distribution operation at twenty, and the award it won first was for the casting — the single most direct piece of evidence in this programme that casting breadth had to be honoured by a separate body because the main ones were not measuring it.
