Cathy Barry

Career

Born Cathy Capes in Bristol, Cathy Barry began modelling at 16 and moved through lap dancing into adult film from 2000, co-running Pumpkin Media TV with her husband, Phil Barry. She won Best British Performer at the 2007 ETO Awards and a Lifetime Achievement Award at that year’s UK Adult Film Awards, adding Best Online Female Actress in 2008. She has appeared in Penthouse and Nuts, on mainstream chat shows including Richard & Judy and Trisha, in MTV promotional material for Mötley Crüe’s 2005 album, and in two BBC documentaries examining the industry, in 2006 and 2009. Her own English Wikipedia article — sourced to the BBC, The Telegraph, The Times and The Independent among others — independently confirms the career and business details above but, like Wikidata, does not settle on a birth date.

Signature: A UK-award-circuit sweep across two consecutive years — Best British Performer, a Lifetime Achievement Award and Best Online Female Actress — backed by a genuine production business rather than performing credits alone.

Not yet confirmed:

• Birth date is unresolved everywhere checked: Wikidata carries two conflicting years (1967 via German Wikipedia, 1974 via IMDb) and her own English Wikipedia article states none at all, so no birth date is used
