Sasha Gabor
Career
Born Sámuel Guttmann in Hungary, Gabor worked as a commercial airline pilot and as a stand-in and lookalike for Burt Reynolds in mainstream films before entering adult film in 1983 at age 38, after meeting Ron Jeremy at an industry event. Performing under the parody name "Turd Wrenolds," he co-starred with Jeremy in around 20–30 films shot on houseboats at Lake Mead, including the Smokey and the Bandit parody All-American Girls in Heat. He also held Norwegian citizenship, performed as a musician (accordion, trumpet and double bass) with the Cirkus Arnardo circus in Norway, and spoke eight languages. He retired from performing in 2001 and had planned to direct Norway's first professional pornographic film, and later proposed a Sámi-themed adult production in 2007; neither was realised. He died of cardiac arrest in Bangkok in 2008.
Signature: A former commercial pilot and professional Burt Reynolds lookalike whose adult-film career grew directly out of a friendship with Ron Jeremy — an origin story distinct from anyone else on this list.
