Max Konnor

Career

Formerly credited as Isaiah Foxx, Konnor had appeared on mainstream television — Broad City, Gotham, Master of None, Madam Secretary — before moving into adult performance full-time in 2017. He won GayVN's Performer of the Year in 2022 and XBIZ's Gay Performer of the Year in 2021, the top annual titles in gay adult content from two separate bodies, alongside a Grabby Wall of Fame induction the same year. He is the subject of the 2021 documentary Being Black in Porn, and in 2019 founded Haus of Konnor, a talent agency built specifically to represent performers of colour. A 2018 Lucas Entertainment film he had no involvement in producing, titled Black Cocks Matter in reference to the Black Lives Matter movement, drew public criticism and was retitled Black Cocks Rock — an episode illustrative of the marketing category this article is about rather than anything about Konnor's own record.

Signature: The only performer on this list to hold the top annual title from two separate gay-content award bodies, and the only one to have founded an agency built explicitly to represent performers of colour rather than simply performing.
