Felicia Tang
Career
Born Felicia Lee in Singapore on 22 October 1977, she moved to the United States at 13 and became an American citizen. She began modelling for fashion catalogues and bikini calendars while studying marketing and business administration, then moved into softcore adult video for Peach DVD and made repeated appearances on Playboy TV programming including Naked Sports and 7 Lives Xposed. She founded FeliciaTang.com in 2002, an erotic-content and interactive-webcam site she ran until closing it in October 2008, and took uncredited roles in three mainstream films: The Fast and the Furious (2001), Rush Hour 2 (2001) and Cradle 2 the Grave (2003). She announced her retirement from modelling in 2008 to pursue a career in real estate. In April 2009 she met Brian Lee Randone, a former pastor, in Las Vegas; the two cohabited for four months before she was found dead in their shared Monrovia, California home on 11 September 2009, aged 31. Randone was charged with murder and torture; the medical examiner recorded roughly 320 blunt-force wounds alongside high levels of GHB and trace cocaine in her system, prosecutors argued forced smothering, and the defence argued a GHB overdose compounded by trauma from falls or seizures. He was acquitted of all charges on 9 December 2011, following a trial that received sustained press coverage, including a 48 Hours episode.
Signature: No adult-industry award of any kind, and the single most extensively reported death of any performer in this field — a criminal trial and acquittal covered by national US media rather than a fact confined to industry sources.
