Chuy Bravo

Career

Born Jesús Melgoza in Tangancícuaro, Michoacán, Bravo moved to the United States and worked in film from 2000 — Tiptoes and The Rundown in 2003, The Honeymooners in 2005, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End in 2007 — before becoming nationally known as Chelsea Handler’s on-air sidekick on Chelsea Lately, which he did from 2007 until the show ended in 2014, with a parallel run on the scripted spin-off After Lately and a 2013 turn on the ABC diving competition Splash. He also made a single adult title for Vivid Entertainment, released under his own name at the height of that television fame and reported in the mainstream press at the time. He died in Mexico City in December 2019, aged 63.

Signature: His adult credit is a licensed celebrity novelty release rather than a body of work, which is exactly why it belongs on a page about how this category is cast rather than on a ranking.
