Brigitte Lahaie
Career
Lahaie began performing in hardcore films in 1976, about a year after France legalized the genre, and became one of its first genuine stars alongside successors such as Marilyn Jess. She worked frequently with directors Claude Mulot, José Bénazéraf, and Gérard Kikoïne. In parallel with her adult work she crossed into mainstream French cinema, most notably in a run of horror films for director Jean Rollin — Les Raisins de la mort (1978), Fascination (1979), and La Nuit des traquées (1980) — and later appeared in Henry & June (1990) and the horror film Calvaire (2004). She stopped making adult films in the mid-1990s and, from 2001 to 2016, hosted Lahaie, l'Amour et Vous, a daily call-in radio program about sexuality on Radio Monte Carlo, becoming one of the few performers of her generation to build a sustained mainstream media career built explicitly around her earlier work rather than in spite of it. She was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame in 2014.
Signature: One of the first stars of French hardcore cinema in the mid-1970s, and one of the very few to convert that career directly into fifteen years as a national radio host discussing sex and relationships.

- Total adult-film count: widely cited as "more than 100" but no consolidated, sourced filmography total was located.
- A search-engine summary asserted she received a 'Hot d'Or lifetime achievement award in 1980' — this is chronologically impossible, since the Hot d'Or awards were not established until 1990/1991. This appears to be a fabrication and is omitted. She did preside over the 2010 Hot d'Or ceremony, which is a hosting credit, not a competitive award.
